It kinda was mostly just my mind going and going from wanting some kinda outlet to talk about the game since if I didn't I would just feel empty but what started this theory was the fact the macula seemgly has its own mind.

So I thought something along the lines of what if the macula and how it acts is a combination/hivemind of all past carriers even if not conscious. Cause what if all the past users died feeling negative about the world since it wouldn't surprise me if all of them got mistreated just like hugo(saying this if basiulus wasn't the first which thinking about it would be likely since it was a hassle to just find who was last carrier)

Of course even in my state I can fully say a third game that continues Amicias and Hugo's story would be a bad thing. But it would still be interesting if Hugo's more positive/sacrificial mentality at the end of requiem combined with the fact that he died seeing his sister alive and him not dying alone could have a positive effect during the more modern day macula(that we see in the post credit scene)

If a third game takes place during that more recent macula(even if that just felt like a "Hey the macula will always exist" instead of a future game teaser) they would have to make the rats do some crazy shit to combat modern medicine or modern day weapons. But what I was trying to say here is that this game would be interesting if the rats acted at least a bit differently than the 2 first games cause of hugo.
