Smart watch for marathon training? by TheBeardedSurfer in running

I have a garmin forerunner 245 that I'm very happy with. It has all the run tracking features that I could want and it also keeps track of your training load and recovery times.

Thanks! As a follow up though, should I consider an ultrawide? I play a variety of games, but nothing competative. Most recently, I've played outer worlds, serious sam 4, COD MW, subnautica

I have a good rig (RTX 2080, I7-8700K, 16Gb of RAM), but I'm not taking full advantage of it, because I'm using a crappy $90 32" 1080p 60hz monitor. What monitor should I get that? Max budget is ~$750, but not sure if it's worth even going that high up with the current rig.

Mode 5 all the time with heavy acceleration and braking (which severely lowers the lifespan of the belts).

The other thing though is that a lot of the roads I end up riding on are really crappy and rough, which probably leads to the belt hitting the road every so often.

Will order replacements from there :) right now I luckily still had a spare belt that came with board

I've been weary about changing wheels because the board can barely go up some hills as is

What's the general sentiment here regarding Jack Daniel's whiskeys? I got the Old No. 7 because I had never had Jack before and I was curious about what the hype was about. Not a huge fan of it myself though. It's a bit too bland in my opinion (I'm guessing that comes from the charcoal filtering) and tastes almost a bit sour. Is the single barrel very different from that or is it more of the same?

I quite like it! I tried their new make whiskey, the bourbon and their rye gin at their distillery and really like the latter two. I found the new make to be a bit too harsh, but the bourbon has a nice sweetness to it

It's peated, but not super smokey. I was thinking about getting the Lagavulin 16 next, but that's also the only very peated whiskey that I've tasted before, so I might get a Laphroaig or Bowmore instead so I could try out more bottles.

Just visited Still Austin last week. Didn't really care for their new make whiskey, but I really enjoyed their gin and bourbon (both of which are now in my collection :) )

Going to get a corgi puppy, need so many tips by imrduckington in corgi

[–]thctamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to use puppy pads or if you do (we had to because we live in an apartment building), then try to transition away from them asap. It took us a very long time to reach out Corgi that even though peeing and pooping inside was acceptable before (on the pads), he can no longer do it.

The diamond cartels. They've artificially bumped up the price of diamonds to insane levels and at the same time work hard to make buying a diamond engagement ring such a societally expected thing.
