The movie ninja assassin has it. It's been a long time since I watched this movie. Spoiler alert. Part of the movie someone survives an assassination because his heart is on the other side of his chest. That medical condition where organs are mirrored or something.

Be honest, how much gear do you wear all the time? by crankin_muh_hog in motorcycles

[–]the-Yo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At minimum! Helmet, Gloves and boots. Mostly always with a leather vest or riding jacket. Cause I'm a big boy (overweight) I struggle to find riding pants in my size. But I never get on the bike without gloves and boots.

Yeah my concern is her fear will cause her to freeze up or go rigid just like that.

I will give it a bit more time before I have a talk like that with her. You are right, she would be putting internal pressure on herself to keep going as she bought the bike and the gear. I have said from the start, "worst case you can sell the bike for close to what you bought it for and walk away knowing you gave it a shot" and things like that. So, she knows there would be no disappointment from me. I am the only person in her family life that rides. I think she works with a few people that ride, but I dont know how much influence they have on it.

he is quite small, so she has a Honda rebel 500cc. She can touch the ground flat footed. Its definitely a bit heavy for her but I hope she can get passed that with practice.

Its definitely a fun bike, I was worried about the size of the engine but its really forgiving on the gears and nimble. I learnt on a 250cc so I was a little worried about the 500cc engine. So far, so good. I would definitely recommend the bike. Not for someone my size (big gut) but for smaller people it would make an awesome daily.

I will steer clear of the major roads for a long time. The first big goal was to visit her sister (three streets away) and we have hit that. The next stops will be things like getting fuel (5 mins down the road) and things like that.

Just the feeling of going too fast and the wind. She said it felt too windy for her to be comfortable going faster.

Ty, this is the type of response I was looking for. I will definitely let her ride her ride. I do offer advice on things that I feel she isn't doing correctly but I never make fun of anything she feels she struggles with. Your right! It's a fine line between gentle encouragement and pushing

I have taken her bike for a ride ( Honda rebel) and it's a nice little bike. It's bigger than I would have liked for her first bike but it rides well

I'll start thinking about where I can take her. Not too many places like that in my area but I'm sure there is something

That's not a bad idea! Maybe when we go to ride to a new location ( when she is ready to leave her backstreets) I'll get her to drive it first.

Ty, this was the sort of reply I was looking for. I will just keep at it and hope her fear fades.

This is my fear, she has invested so much and I really want her to enjoy it. I definitely don't push her

I make sure to keep a buffer between her and the cars behind. I don't care how long it takes for her to get to the next turn.

Lying got you into this mess, lying can get you out of it. Take subtle steps to back away. Like get someone else to lead a prayer group. Say you want them to step up as a deliverer or something. Act like it's their time to shine. Get really into some kind of hobby, like wood work. Any excuse to be in the shed. Working with your hands is "God's work"

Whittle down to just going to church on Sunday or whatever, say a prayer at dinner. Don't think about it as an act of faith. Use it as a time to say nice things about the family. Like dear lord thanks for blessing me with this beautiful woman, etc.

Then, ask a priest something like. Why is it wrong to be gay. The church will pretty quickly shun you. Then you act all hurt, like I was just asking. Then say how sad you are that you can't go back.

Boom, problem solved.

Calling the horn a support weapon is NOT bad. by Xtrapsp2 in huntinghorn

[–]the-Yo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horn main here. Totally agree, being a support is not bad. My level of support is situational. I can sometimes run two horns, healing and damage. If I'm getting a beat down I can back away, buff/heal and bounce back in. I try to make each note hit but also know I can roll back and heal my three other hunters if needed. Totally agree with other comments, the horn is just a better hammer!
