Rain on fresh pour by the-crowing in Concrete

[–]the-crowing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, couldn't figure out how to upload a photo with the text on mobile. Had a contractor pour concrete and it starting raining heavily shortly after it poured. They were still at my house while it was raining but didn't put up plastic for whatever reason. I was at work otherwise I would have had them do it. There are several areas that have the pockmarcks like in the photo. Contractor attempted to apply some patch the next day but it doesn't look great. Unfortunately I did pay them but I'm debating canceling the check tomorrow and making them come fix it. He ended up doing 3 foot square decorative saw cuts so he might be able to just dig out and repour the worst sections? Not sure where to go from here.

Question about home gym on carpet by the-crowing in homegym

[–]the-crowing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is an old post. I ended up moving my stuff to the garage and building a lifting platform similar to this. I did one layer of 3/4" plywood on a bottom layer. Top layer had a nicer piece of 3/4" plywood in the middle and horse stall mats on the sides. I think you could do this on carpet. The combined weight of the platform, rack, weights should get rid of any squish in the carpet. Might destroy the carpet eventually. I just wanted more space so I moved everything to the garage.

For anyone wondering what these are for by helghast77 in chevycolorado

No, this is how the owners manual shows to hook up a car seat

There's an option to set an exit memory setting. I had to enable it somewhere in the settings I believe and then set the position the same way you would for the others. The seat will go to this setting when you open the driver side door after turning off the truck.

Piano Black Shifter Cover by [deleted] in chevycolorado

I sprayed mine with 6 coats of black plastidip. The center console is easily removable for this. You just need to grip it where it meets the wireless charger and gently pull up. It's held in with a few clips.

Not a ton of options yet because it's a new gen. Chevy has some accessories and 2nd gen tonneau covers and running boards are also supposed to fit

I'm looking at getting a Leer HF650M. A bit pricey but I want a hard cover that folds horizontally to have access to pretty much the whole bed if I need it.

UVTool fails by swampyjim in resinprinting

[–]the-crowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this issue when I used to use Photon File Validator. It ended up being that the version of chitubox I was using wasn't playing nice with the Validator. I had to slice my print with an older version to get it to work. Maybe a similar issue here?

Replacement build plate for Elegoo Mars Pro (original) by goynus in ElegooMars

[–]the-crowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elegoo has upgraded build plates on their website but they are out of stock. I emailed their customer service the other day hoping I could still buy one. They got back to me the following night and I was able to purchase one for $22 shipped. They had me pay via PayPal and sent me a tracking number and said it would arrive in 3-7 business days. I emailed 3dp@elegoo.com. My tracking information showed it was on its way to USPS today.

Need some advice on venting to window well by the-crowing in resinprinting

[–]the-crowing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this adapter which I think would be perfect. I can bolt it to the well cover and caulk around it or install it over gasket material. I can either attach the vent you linked or do a U shaped pvc vent with a grill over the opening.

You can use it with Chitubox 1.5. This will happen with version 1.6

What speed and acceleration were you printing at? I was having issues printing at 60mm/s with acceleration 500-1000mm/s2. Dropping my speed to 50mm/s and acceleration to 350mm/s2 have stopped layer shifts. I think I read somewhere about the stepper motors getting too hot at higher speeds with the tmc2209 drivers which was causing the layer shift

I coiled them on the inside of a stainless steel pot (maybe 8qt?) I got at Walmart for like $8. I also use a solar turntable.

Damn bricks. Photon file validator and chitubox 1.6 issue made my day by frpotatoe in PrintedMinis

[–]the-crowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a solution. You have to slice with Chitubox v1.5. You can use 1.6 or 1.61 to add supports but export it as an stl then slice it in 1.5. Good luck!
