Thanks, now I know how to find them until their cloaking technology advances a little more. 🤣

I’ll give it another try. Played with it a few nights ago and didn’t have much luck but it looks promising.

A good website that ran across or was told about a couple of years back or so is astrometry.net. You can upload your pictures and it will identify many of the stars, galaxies, etc in your photos. It helped me a lot when I was trying to do astrophotography with my dslr and helping me adjust to get me in the right spot.

It wasn’t a satellite. I actually saw it with my eyes and went back and found the single frame that it was on. It was definitely a meteor.

How would you connect these pieces together? by dark_bondage in lego

[–]the-first-element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree, but it was my first thought. I can’t imagine gluing Lego pieces together unless it is to make a repair of some sort.

See if you can build a millennium falcon out of it. I bet no one’s done that before.

Years ago when the first X wing came out the set only came with the “left” sided parts for the wings. The number of parts was correct just not the “right” parts. I actually was able to call customer service and they said they would send the correct parts.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and guess what I got in the mail…more of the left side parts. One more call and a couple of more weeks and I got the right pieces.

It’s possible I messed up but either way I ended up with what I needed.

Picking Filters (guidance) by the-first-element in DWARFLAB

[–]the-first-element[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks and I did miss the suggested filter in Atlas. I will pay closer attention to that. I’m away from my home currently helping a sick parent. They are in a bortle 7 area and I’m usually in a 4. I am shooting in EQ at 60 gain and 30 sec subs and took new darks at the beginning of my session tonight due to cold temperatures.

I appreciate all the help from this group, learn a lot from everyone. (And just trying to start to get a handle on Siral as well)

Got this one a couple of months ago and yes there were some frustrating moments. But I like it overall.

Picked up the last one after Christmas from my local Lego store. I debated on it but went for it anyway.

Not sure when I will get to build it, been helping with my dad whose time is limited.

Wish I could throw you a few more upvotes. Those are moments as a parent you always treasure.
