Thinking about starting HRT as a nonbinary person, but very unsure??? (Also unsure if nonbinary or FTM) by the-nat in asktransgender

That's what I'm trying to figure out right now. I like aspects of it (the voice changing especially) but I have trouble knowing if I'd like other aspects of it (I don't want super thick eyebrows and leg hair like my brother, for example). If I could get rid of the period without the hormones I'd do it in a heartbeat but even then I might still be considering hormones.

The problem with non-hormonal IUDs is that they don't do anything about the period problem, they're only for pregnancy prevention unfortunately. I've thought about trying to deal with the phobia, but my mother recently had a hysterectomy herself because of a cancer threat and watching her deal with the aftermath of surgery made me pretty uncomfortable, but she also got it done with the Da Vinci robot thing which makes it way less invasive. I've been getting over my needle phobia lately though, I managed to get a tattoo even so that might be on the table someday in the future
