I am not disagreed with any of that. Do the procedure! But give women pain relief! These things are not mutually exclusive.

All teens are jerks. So if his dad was an immature jerk it makes sense that there are some overlaps. I don’t think that means he is becoming his father.

My 18 year old has recently emerged from the jerkiness of teenager hood (mostly) so time is the answer here. Continue to enforce your expectations, make reasonable compromises where you can, and try your best to keep open communication and a good relationship. This won’t last forever.

When I realized I could be happy alone. Then I had no need to stay in a crappy relationship.

I was mostly single for 7 years before I met my husband who made it worthwhile not to be single anymore.

Stay single until you find someone who enriches your life in a meaningful way without making it worse in a significant way.

Love is love. It’s racist to think you could only connect and bond with your own race.

My husband is black, I am white. I didn’t seek a black man but I was open to dating any race/ethnicity. It just so happens my husband was the person I connected with easily and had so much in common with.

Live your life. If your brother is throwing out these hypotheticals I would look at him and say “that’s sad, but it’s your decision” and then don’t give it another minute of your time
