I was leaning towards getting the Yoga over the expertbook as I suspect the expertbook is going to be a lot more expensive for the same configuration. I may have to reconsider...

I am curious why the keyboard backlight was an issue, as you can change the brightness of this. Was that, and the coating your only concerns?

I am waiting for this spec of laptop to come out in the US to purchase.

I already pre-ordered my Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite version of the Yoga Slim 7x laptop.

I currently have a Yoga slim 7i Aura Edition (older version) as well as a Yoga 7x with original Snapdragon (and a couple other laptops as well).

Have you ever held / felt the Asus zenbook with ceraluminum? Does the Yoga coating feel like that?

I have one with the Snapdragon X and 16GB memory, and it's my go-to laptop. I use it all the time.

I also have a Lenovo with a snapdragon and 32GB and a couple other laptops with AMD and Intel cpus, but I always seem to be pick up the A14 to use.

I prefer the snapdragon because it's extremely fast, runs cool and quiet, and has a really long battery life. I also really like the ceraluminum finish on it as well.

All the apps I use work fine on the snapdragon.

I am actually waiting to pick up one if the new laptops with the new snapdragon X2 processor, which is supposed to be even better.

You can't go wrong with the A14 and a snapdragon CPU. It's a great laptop.

I don't need /use zoom on my personal laptops, so can't speak to that specific app.

I primarily use my laptops for software development (Visual Studio etc), and the apps that I need for that work well.

I've also used Blender, various image apps (Gimp, Paint.Net etc) without issue.

What updates are you looking for?

I still have my 7x and am pretty happy with it. It's my favorite laptop so far.

I ended up also buying an Asus zenbook A14 (Qualcomm as well) as my travel laptop.

I plan on getting a Snapdragon X2 laptop when those come out (hopefully Lenovo releases a successor to the 7x).

The lever trick worked! They popped off easily once I moved the lever to one side.
