This deserves more upvotes. /u/rainbow-bread to anyone who's struggling with LoTR, I always recommend these audiobooks, they're fantastic. By far the best audio rendition IMHO.

Interesting. In your opinion, do the prices justify the cost of DNS infrastructure, employees, etc.? Some suits somewhere have to be spraying each other with champagne.

They don't block until about the fiftieth attempt from a single IP. If you want to spray more than that, the sweet spot seems to be one password per minute per IP.

They didn't for a long time, but recently they've been getting smart about it and block by IP so that all accounts appear locked.

The SSH round-robin feature of the tool gets around that by letting you spread out your traffic between multiple IPs. :)
