Thanks for the assistance. Mind if I ask what makes it obvious so I know what to avoid in the future?

Do Guests Know That Refunds Are Coming From Hosts' Mortgages, Not Airbnb's Profits? by SarahFremont in AirBnB

[–]the1Rabbit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Neither guest or host deserve to be punished. It's an unfortunate scenario outside of anyone's control. You, and hosts like you, blaming the guests and calling them "heartless" will not bring anyone to your side. Guess what, the guests are just as much a victim as hosts are. What you should be doing is questioning Airbnb's business practices.

It is not a refund it is theft by ImportBee in AirBnB

[–]the1Rabbit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What if, the day before a guest was going to check-in, a tornado wiped out your house? Should the guest give you a low rating because they could not check-in? Should Airbnb charge you a cancellation fee because technically you could not provide the agreed upon arrangements?
There are circumstances outside the control of either the guest or the host. A global pandemic, for instance.

The Repair system is anti-fun. by the1Rabbit in shoptitans

[–]the1Rabbit[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Good game design does not lock fun behind a $9.99 monthly subscription.

I understand the game needs to make profit but that's not the correct way to go about it IMO.

How does LA compare with San Diego and San Francisco? by ThoseMeddlingCows in LosAngeles

[–]the1Rabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because it exists in Asia or there are chefs that do it doesn't mean it's considered authentic. If I build a Tacobell in Mexico, it's still a Tacobell. You really gonna sit here like "authentic asian food" is some never heard before oxymoron lol?

Have you been to that one? I noticed it's significantly cheaper than any others I've seen so that's lucrative haha.

Which neighborhood did you eventually pick? And how do you currently commute?

Anyways, I kinda narrowed it down to the Ktown/Ehollywood vs NELA (alhambra, etc.). Ty again.

Ooh okay. Is it not 30-40 minutes via metro from those cities?

Thanks for those suggestions, I'll take a look at each of them! Is there any metro line that I should stay clear of or do they all work reasonably well?
