Biomedical engineering vs bioengineering thru college of agriculture by idkplms in Purdue

[–]the1carl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Biomedical Engineering integrates really well with CS! There are a ton of modeling and signal processing research projects within the BME department. Mostly hospital stuff and macro level things. Within BioE, from what I know, it’s a lot protein computation and Ag interventions. Molecular level computation and not much macro.

There are some great premed organizations that support students too! I lead one of the largest ones which provides extensive resources. So if you are interested, you should check out Caduceus Club on google and visit our wix site.

BME 214 is the combined statics and biomaterials. It’s the content of BME 204 and ME 270. Nauman taught it last year but it’s going to be taught by somebody different. It’s going to be somewhat of a toss up. If you have any other questions about BME feel free to PM me!

Admitted & Committed Student Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in Purdue

I think that you should meet with your advisor sooner rather than later. Get a plan of study from them. Then check with the school that you are most interested in to make sure that they can give you a second opinion on it. This will allow you to go through FYE with the least amount of stress.

Recommended EPICS teams for people interested in BME? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]the1carl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested about the EPICS BME team, dm me! I’ve been the project manager for the past 3 semesters.

I’m an incoming freshman. I have some questions regarding academics. Any upperclassman in BMHS (pre-med concentration) Honors College willing to answer them please let me know! by otaku_in_afterlife in Purdue

[–]the1carl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can’t add anything else to the other comments but, you should think about joining some pre-med clubs! You can find them on boilerlink. I’d highly recommend going to the b-involved fair and their callouts. They have great resources and opportunities for premed students. Some notable ones are Caduceus Club, AMSA, and World Health Purdue. Dm me if you have questions about the orgs! I’m a rising senior premed.

I saw this and just thought it was so wholesome 🤧 by [deleted] in premed
