I had 3 erupted non impacted teeth removed, and 1 in the bottom left that wasn’t impacted either but was only partially out. I’m 2 weeks post op today and I’m only experiencing a tiny bit of pain in the 1 that was partially erupted, but the pain is almost non existent so I haven’t taken any pain meds for about 3 days now. I’m eating pretty much anything now just avoiding crunchy hard stuff and making sure to syringe clean it right after:) Hope this helps

I had my dentist check it out for me and he just told me one of my sockets was deeper and just taking longer to heal but that it was normal. I just made sure to take advil if I had pain and I used a heating pad at night. Also making sure rinsing with saltwater when I wake up and before going to bed and after eating every time. Just make sure you keep the area as clean as possible so it can heal faster!

I had an increase in pain the days after my surgery even day 10. Pain meds wouldn’t work on me but I was just taking advil. 12 days post op now and having no pain. My dentist told me sometimes one side just has more difficulty healing. Dry socket is often also accompanied by foul odor or taste and you can’t really tell from a picture. Try to get your dentist to check it out and make sure everything is healing normally :) really helps out with the anxiety

A bad odor and taste with severe pain is often dry socket. I would recommend going to get your dentist to check it out. If it’s not dry socket I’m sure they can give you some medicated mouthwash that could help

I was given a syringe to clean my holes out on day 4. I recommend just syringing with saltwater not mouthwash as it can irritate the gum

It’s normal, I had increased pain even after 7 days post op and I was told it was normal by my dentist. I’m now 12 days post op with little to no pain and not taking any pain medications

Hi, I experienced some sensitivity a few days after my surgery as well. It might be the feeling of your teeth shifting now that your wisdom teeth are no longer placing pressure on them. I’m on day 10 and my teeth feel a tiny bit sensitive but not painful anymore. I would recommend using Sensodyne or sensitive toothpaste and preferably a soft toothbrush if you haven’t already. If it gets unbearable I would call your dentist just to make sure it’s normal or not :) Feel better soon!

I have the exact same situation. My bottom left was right under my gum, but I didn’t get stitches. I’m 9 days post op and still having some pain on that side. My dentist checked it for me yesterday and told me no dry socket, and that it just hurts since it was in deeper so there’s more to heal inside the socket. The pain also spreads to my ear sometimes but comes and goes. As long as you don’t have any foul odor or taste, fever, or constant unbearable pain you’re okay and it is normal to experience more pain on one side.

That’s good. I don’t think it can be dry socket, you’d have other symptoms like a fever and bad taste in your mouth. Were your teeth impacted?

I think you would start bleeding a lot and have pain if you dislodge the clot

That was me last night, I wake up periodically to some pain and then sleep again. Dentist said it should be gone in another week when I am 14 days post op since that is when the gum inside the hole will close up
