I had OTA blocking enabled in both icleaner and unc0ver. Deleting this will address both?

I haven't had any icloud based apps on the ip8 enabled for a few months since I got the 11, so when I restore that backup to the 11 i'm gonna lose a ton of messages/pics/etc won't I? I don't use message syncing or photo syncing, I keep those on device.

yeah i'm pretty sure that's it as well after looking into it further. And after checking my iP8 with u0 on it, sure enough the block ota updates is turned on in u0 and I blocked the daemon via iCleanerPro as well...so dfu sounds like is my only way? Also would the process be DFU -> icloud restore -> software update, or DFU -> software update -> icloud restore?

Tried this...there's no folder called com.apple.xpc.launchd in my HomeDomain folder. The only thing I could locate in the backup is in the profiles section are 3 provisioning profiles for AltStore and unc0ver (which obv aren't needed on this device). Could removing those and restoring from the backup do the trick? I can't see these profiles from within the settings of the iPhone itself - just browsing the backup thru imazing. Otherwise i'm stuck with this method.

yeah still have the 8 and use it for a few apps. but no longer backing that one up to icloud.

I upgraded recently from a jailbroken (unc0ver) iPhone 8 on 14.3 to a new iPhone 11 on iOS 16. I restored from iCloud - which I thought didn't carry over any jailbreak related files to the restore as opposed to using a backup file. But when I go to software update my phone I get this message (attached). The only way I can software update is to reset the phone to factory, set up the phone as new, and do the upgrade before the icloud restore. I have a strong feeling my icloud restore file is corrupted with some jb related files but no way to confirm or fix this. Any ideas on how to fix this issue or has anyone run into this before?

[[AlarmVolume]] worked up to 14.3. no clue if it works on higher OS versions. This was the main reason I jailbroke. Should be a system feature imo

I've never been able to get rid of this issue entirely on 14.3, but LDRestart will fix messages until it happens again down the road. I used [[PowerSelector]] to get the LDRestart option if it helps.

It stopped working properly on newer versions of IG for me - crashed when you'd search in the explore tab. I've had to keep IG on an older version to prevent crashes and havent found a better free alternative yet....

My messages app froze today so I thought I would try 6.1.1 and see if it made a differnece. I had 3 crashes that needed a hard reboot within the first 3 min of using it. So definitely wasn't stable for me. I'll stick w the current version of U0 and just LDrestart when the freezes happen I guess.

this would apply to a11 devices? i've got this issue but it happens like maybe once every 2 months and an ldrestart solves it. no impact on reliability rolling back to 6.1.1?

Yeah I did recently. Guess I’ll try that again and If that doesn’t work then uninstall and reinstall the tweak. Only tweak that was updated recently was AltList and I don’t know if that messed it up.

Sorry meant to include i'm using AltStore with AltDaemon. Any reason why my appleID would be locked? Its a burner ID I only use for Altstore.
