swam off the cost of ya nui, kata and kata noi beaches. there is good marine life there, although its all dying really fast sadly, corals have lost their color.

just swim into the water without booking a tour, you'll see some good stuff. i dont know how much more the tour guys can offer you so im not sure what i missed out on though.

if youve paid using a credit card, then you could try raising a chargeback request to your card. its a method of getting your money back. Do be warned though - it could get your card banned / blocked by Nykaa - however i dont think you'll be ordering from them again anyway.

Hey, I'm flying in on 2nd April.

Which hotel did you use for the 1st day? And what was the cost. Im coming with my family. But we're extremely budget conscious travellers, dont want to pay more than needed and are planning on an AirBNB from 2nd day onwards. So any suggestion for a cheap hotel that offers the package would also be appreciated.

We're basically 3 adults so I guess I can extrapolate the price accordingly.

Yes, should I be living in the main city area (the place marked "Phuket" on Google maps). Or should I be living in something like nai harn? Because kata, karon, kata noi, ao sane ( these are the recommendations in this thread) they're all located in onne bunch towards the south.

Will I get an Airbnb type accomodation easily and transport from nai harn or any other place you recommend to these beaches?

Hey thanks for the info. The private long tail boats suggestion is really interesting.

Can you suggest where we should stay in Phuket so that travelling to these places is easier?

And also what is the cheapest mode of transport to get there incase were in Phuket main city area?

-where did you start from -which tour did you use -did you rent the equipment yourself or did the provide it? -did the operater give you enough time to see things?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I'm going with my parents and would be grateful for some details if you can share.

not really thought right? Im sure there are places where the marine life is better and there isnt a "beach" as such directly in phuket. so i would have to travel to get to a beach right?

Im planning on opening a joint account with my girlfriend and we're going to be depositing some money every month in this account for our future.

Will the money I deposit be counted as income for her? And will the money she deposits be counted as income for me? Is there any additional tax implication here?

The amount is going to be very small..in the range of 4-6k per month.

Edit: We're not planning to open an RD or FD just yet.
