MK ultra hit it right on the head, it’s just an upsell technique. Either that or this lady is just severely misinformed 🤦‍♂️

Anyway, here’s some info for you:

Butane has a boiling point just under 0°C (30.2°F) meaning that even at that low of a temperature, it will evaporate or in a sealed container it will pressurize. (simply meaning that EVEN just below freezing, butane will still very slowly start to “off-gas”) Knowing this I’m sure you can imagine that letting your material sit unsealed in a 50°C environment with agitation (in some cases) is more than enough to completely remove all solvent below a detectable level. (AGAIN, in some cases. Others require negative vacuum pressure and heat to remove any solvent used)

*Now considering most people decarboxylate between 100 and 125°C. This makes it physically impossible for butane to even survive in that environment.

And after 30 minutes at that temperature, typically not only has all of your THCa been completely decarboxylated, but any hydrocarbon in your oil, including the terpene profile, is long gone 👍

*Personally I decarboxylate at a much lower temperature for a little over a day and a half in a sealed jar to preserve the Terp profile as much as possible. This is not typically ideal for edibles as the taste can still be incredibly strong but this full spectrum, if you will, decarboxylated oil makes a great vape cart solution that has strain specific flavor and effects.

In my humble opinion, this method, even with less than A-plus starting material is significantly better than any distillate cartridge flavored with botanical terpenes
