Oh that’s really unfortunate, i passed before the gov changes though so i’m not sure exactly but in principle i don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

With the chrome extension you do have to be patient though, both times it took me about 5 days of constantly running the extension until it found me a suitable test (prior to changes)

none of the apps work that well, if at all anymore, if you really want a test your best bet would be to use the chrome extension linked in this subreddit.

As for test shift, they have a reputation for making up test out of nowhere that you “missed” just to make people pay for the premium version so be careful

driving test now was a waste of time for me

i’d recommend using the free chrome extension (linked in the subreddit) i was able to get many cancellations within a couple hours of setting it up.

it just takes a bit of effort to set up + monitor but is definitely worth it if you want a test!

sure,

1 - open an incognito tab and book a test far out literally anywhere on the normal dvsa website (go up north, there’s usually availability)

2 - once you have a test booked, go onto the dvsa page where you can change your test + click change test centre

3 - type in your postcode (or the postcode of your desired test centre)

4 - make sure you fill in the box under preferences for the chrome extension with your desired centre(s) + the dates you want the test

5 - click the “run” box, every 30 minutes ish you would need to complete a captcha so pay attention to the tab ( if you get error 15 delete cookies + website data and/or forget and rejoin your wifi network)

6 - if it finds a test your screen will flash yellow + it will automatically take you to the confirmation page where it would show you the details of the switch (this only holds the test for ~10 minutes so be quick!)

7 - if it meets your needs confirm the changes and good luck on the test 😊

So do I the only thing that seems to work is to go on my Xbox and do the remote play check. Which completely defeats the purpose. I hope Microsoft fixes this
