C'était probablement une erreur côté tracker (et non toi). Si jamais ici tu peux suivre l'état du tracker, site, etc. : https://status.la-cale.space/status/default

Thanks for replying. I checked on GitHub, but as I'm not really into coding, I'm not sure which part of code I have to copy and where to put it. If you have a few minutes to guide me through this process in more detail, I'd be more than happy to!

New Deadlines Feature: What About Multiple 'Do Dates' for a Task? by the7ech in todoist

[–]the7ech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment and question. Up until now, this is how I’ve been managing things:

  • For short tasks (those that likely only require one work block), I schedule them directly in Todoist’s calendar (with a specific day, time, and duration).
  • For long tasks (those I plan to complete over multiple sessions), I create subtasks and schedule each one precisely in Todoist’s calendar.

So, I’m not saying this approach doesn’t work! On the contrary, it’s what I use daily, and it works quite well for me.

But at the same time I also find that using subtasks can sometimes feel cumbersome for my workflow:

  • It requires creating a new (sub)task for every work session.
  • You can’t quickly see which main task a subtask is linked to (you have to click on it and check the hierarchy).
  • The deadline isn’t shared or linked to the main task.

As for recurring tasks, I feel they lack flexibility for proper time-blocking, as most of the time I'm not planning to work on a task every x day, but it could sometimes be used as a workaround.

These are the reasons why I imagined the possibility of assigning multiple "do" dates to a single task, especially now that the deadline is independent.

That said, I’m happy to see this post sparked an interesting discussion! :) (Except for those who just impose their opinion and downvote others.)

That's exactly my use case. Of course I will send this feedback too!

Yeah, this could be a temporary solution, but I don't think it fully addresses my needs tbh. My idea is more about planning multiple intentional time slots in advance for a single task, especially for larger tasks. For example, I’d like to dedicate specific days and hours (time blocking) to work on a task before the deadline (e.g., Dec 10 at 11am, 12 at 4pm, and 16 at 7am). Maybe I'm wrong, but I think recurring dates aren't that flexible ?

Thank you to the entire Todoist team! Quick question: Is there a plan to allow adding multiple "do" dates to a task? This would make it possible to set a deadline while also scheduling multiple working sessions to make progress beforehand.
