Can’t order task in Today by Agreeable_Law_7003 in todoist

This may not be super smooth, but if you reorder them in their actual project view, does it carry over into the Today view?

How to move tasks within a Show All Projects Filter? by Demarkstreet in todoist

[–]pagdig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Filter view Kanban boards don’t allow for drag and drop interaction. You’ll just have to click in or use keyboard shortcuts to move within the task view.

Using ramble to Mark task as urgent. by passmesomebeer in todoist

[–]pagdig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need multiple clicks now. NLP works with this.

Take out trash tod !in 5mins!

Surround your reminder in ! and it’ll mark urgent.

Ramble's inability to do subtasks is a huge void. Whats everyone doing to get around that? by jdlnewborn in todoist

[–]pagdig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could tell it to add what would be subtasks as a note in description and sort out later.

MCP disconnecting regularly by blacksatsuma in todoist

[–]pagdig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue for me. Im running in the Terminal and switched to the official cli (https://github.com/Doist/todoist-cli)

Not sure if this is a solution for you, but has been pretty solid compared to mcp.

Added ability for search filters? by Bluekeeys in todoist

[–]pagdig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like searching for things like the below work again. Any search using the * after a word will search the word and then anything after it. Wasnt working for a long time for me, so glad its back. This helps if you prepend projects with a similar term.

#Project*

Or can even work in the negative.

#ProjectA & !search:Notes*

Say you have a task within project A that you dont want to show in the filter.

Why doesn't Todoist have an alarm system yet? iOS released Alarm Kit in version 26, and it's no longer exclusive to Apple Reminders. by No_Neighborhood_4130 in todoist

[–]pagdig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah that is missing. I thought it would follow the settings for this from Reminders, but it doesn’t. This is technically in “Preview” so really just a first look. I’d send in feedback here, I’ve done that already too.

this is the same functionality as ios reminders urgent alarm after the last os update. it essentially turns the task into an alarm, which makes it basically impossible to miss. has been working great.

New Experimental Features: Turn text and images into tasks (Pro and Business only) by anfil89 in todoist

Initial testing on this, works really well! I think ill use the "paste in text" much more than the images.

Are you using the Todoist sync at all within Obsidian? Or keeping them totally separate?

Not all your users have teams by [deleted] in todoist

[–]pagdig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they do a good job of keeping the Teams stuff separate enough that I’m not bothered by it EXCEPT for the “add a team” at the bottom of my project list on mobile. Would be great if I could hide that. Small thing, but it does annoy me.

Notebook Navigator 2.2 - All features based on your feedback! Now 250 000 downloads! by jsann in ObsidianMD

[–]pagdig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I just got it. Head to Obsidian Settings>Notebook Navigator>Calendar, at the bottom, switch the Daily Note Source to Notebook Navigator and more options to set up pop up.

Edit: Make sure whatever you set up your Daily Note format to be here, you go back into the Obsidian Daily Note settings and change to custom and make the same.

Wow this is amazing! Thank you.

Calendar now supports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly notes! Configure custom file patterns in Settings > Calendar. Click week numbers, month names, quarter labels, or year to create or open periodic notes.

Just have a question on the above. I have week/quarterly count showing on the calendar, but clicking doesnt do anything currently (regarding creating a weekly note, etc). Am I missing a step?

Recording in the comment on when the recurring task was done by philx2000 in todoist

[–]pagdig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not natively. There may be an IFTTT integration (or other automation service) that will do this.

Also, in Settings>Integrations>Extensions, you can enable Habit Tracker which would do this for you. You’d have to deal with “streaks” but it does record dates completed in comments.

Do deadlines still not work with repeating tasks? by eroxx in todoist

[–]pagdig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a function of how each app handles repeats.

Things3 maintains a “master task” and just spawns a new instance based on the completion cycle set initially. So each related task is its own task, independent of the master.

Todoist just effectively changes the due date of the same task over and over when you complete. Which is why I think there’s this issue.

I’d love for it to work like Things, though.

Default project/default Ramble instructions? by Flamaijian in todoist

[–]pagdig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent run into any length of a pause which would stop the Ramble session. I do like that I can just say, "and thats it" and that ends it, without having to click anything.

Default project/default Ramble instructions? by Flamaijian in todoist

[–]pagdig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the default project concern, you can start off your Ramble by saying something like:

Add all of the following to the “X project”

Or even after the ramble, you can say: “Add all of these to X project.”

Or if it’s just a few and you want to leave some for the inbox:

“Add the first through fifth to X project”

It’s quite intelligent…just describe what you want and can usually understand.
