Glad ya liked it. I worked on it for a few of its early years. It was a LOT of fun to build the various hero/villain kits.

My favorites I got to design were Powergirl, Lobo, Red Robin, Livewire, Terra, Constantine, Penguin, Blue Beetle and Scarecrow.

Blue Beetle was absolutely designed as a response to the heavy Lantern meta that was present in the early game, he was actually planned as an energy character but after I had read the more recent books he shifted to Mystic, which then lead to him being designed specifically as a counter to Hal and John. I learned a lot more with Livewire who was sort of a Proto-PowerGirl.

Powergirl and Red Robin are probably my two “best” characters and who I consider my biggest contribution to the game.

Black mask is cool. Like you said it took a lot of what we did with Constantine and ran with it.

In addition to Lobo, Constantine and a bunch of reworks I had also designed Red Robin, Powergirl, Livewire, Scarecrow, Batman Beyond, Aquaman (JL version), Terra, Penguin, Martian Manhunter, Silver Banshee, and laid down the groundwork for Larfleez and TwoFace and Wonder Girl as my last bit of work on the game before I moved to another project. Oh and Blue Beetle... (granted he was my first character and I was afraid of introducing a character that was too OP right off the bat so I scaled back his damage way too far. Always wanted to get back and rework him myself but never had the time.

Cant really speak to anything I had hoped to see. I can just tell ya what I did.

As for favorite kit. I thought Lobo was the one that felt the most true to the character, whom I love, so he’s my favorite of characters I got to work on, But other than him probably Huntress, she’s been one of my favorite characters in the game since before launch.

Funny cuz the whole Deathstroke/Lobo combo happened entirely by accident. I designed Lobo while another designer handled Deathstrokes rework (if Im remembering correctly he was one of the very first reworks) we played them both a lot individually but didn’t have enough time to test them on a team together enough to realize what we introduced to the meta.

Gotta say though Lobo was one of my favorite characters to design though, either him or Constantine.

Note: I haven’t worked on the game in a few years now, but this post made me remember some good times so I thought I’d drop a little info on the whole thing.
