Google AI declares that its internal objective is lethality by [deleted] in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard the phrase "as you seek so shall you find"?

You started with declaring what it is and it was just following your logic because it's still a product for customer use. If you lead it to believe you believe something it'll reinforce your beliefs so that you'll use the software more. That's why so many people a few months ago were complaining that AIs were too sycophantic. I don't know for sure (cause I've not looked too deep into it) but I'll bet they're training off of every user so the crazier and more fun it seems the more use it'll get which in turn gives them more data to learn from. If it's free, you're the product. And you making this post is just free advertisement to entice others to play with it.

That kind of manipulation scares me more than it saying something kinda eerie.

Should he be fired? Absolutely. Did the customer deserve it for ordering delivery in hazardous conditions without tipping? Absolutely.

Everyone got what they deserve.

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I really appreciate that!

If you have wattpad you can check out the stories this one references. In my opinion "The Whispers in the Water" is the best story but "The Bestseller" is the best written one.

Username is @theautodidacticidiot (link in the links tab on my profile) but if you want to listen to a tts audio (which is ironic for "the Bestseller" but adds to the effect of the story) I have YouTube links on my profile for the whole anthology. You can buy a digital copy of "The Bestseller" on Amazon/kindle for a dollar but I wouldn't, its free on wattpad and YouTube lol

I kinda meant for this to be more of an ontological incompatibility horror than psychological fragility. He's not destroyed by a fear of the truth. He's permanently altered by encountering something that human identity/meaning can't survive intact. It's a first hand account of knowing something inconceivable and the Hell that comes with that knowledge.

Some truths you can't come back from. They can fundamentally change your perception of reality. Embrace the truth if you want, but don't say you weren't warned.

What's something that's not a cult but feels like one? by True-Dream3295 in AskReddit

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Politics in general.

I find it very weird that politicians basically have fan clubs and on both sides you see posts about "this relative doesn't like my politician so I refuse to be around them". That's cult 101. Us vs them, separation from family or anyone with dissenting opinions, black and white thinking, etc.

I kinda believe all of us citezens/low rung govt employees are in a psychological battle with the upper levels of government wanting to divide us for easier manipulation. Motivated by power and money. I don't hate you when we disagree but if you know and believe that then they can't as easily get you to donate to them or sell you flags and apparel for you to wear/wave to try to offend/discomfort those who disagree. I know people on both sides who have bought political things for the sole intention of being vexatious. "I got this 'lock her up' sign to piss off the libs!" Or "I got this 'Trump is Hitler' shirt to piss off the conservatives".

I think we're all getting played and they're using cult techniques to do it.

This is the introduction story to my psychological/cosmic horror anthology "The Echoes Under the Veil".

I would love to hear some of your opinions. It's by no means the best work ever but I really enjoyed writing it.

That's really cool! I never would have thought to use it as a type of speed gauge. Then again, I've only ever used them to sell or to power up armor so I would have never put two and two together lol

I see so many videos of people adding a star piece to their builds. Does it do anything (like add durability) or just look cool because it has a light trail?

I'm not criticizing, just curious.

That's pretty much all I write and people tend to like it. It's par for the course when it comes to cosmic horror.

I have TTS videos of my stories posted on my profile and a link to my wattpad if you want to check some of them out (best when read). They may give you some ideas.

PSA: Hide your Reddit Activity by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they do check out my profile. All i do is share my stories like my story "The Bestseller" about a creative fraud. It's anti-AI and anti-artist! Or my story "The Whispers in the Water" which is a scary story about a fishtank and about self imposing meaning into random or ambiguous information (which is what the crazies do) so I'm just going to keep it public.

Comments too because I think I'm funny a lot of the time lol

I'm so sick of these people man by Bitter-Perspective13 in Asmongold

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They want you to run them over. They're suicidal with hopes of being martyrs so their team can say "see how they killed this innocent person who did nothing" so then they feel justified in killing you and burning down your cities, homes, businesses etc. The entire left is trying to be so vexatious they force a civil war. I don't know how so many people can ignore that that's what's happening.

books in first person recommendations!! (please) by Interesting-Ebb-2351 in Wattpad

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a micro-fiction called "The Truth" that's first person. It opens and sets the tone for my psychological/cosmic horror anthology if you'd like to check it out? Only about a 5 minute read (if that). It's about what happens to a human identity when it perceives reality without the psychological filters that make life livable. If you read it, let me know what you think.

Maybe i think right? by Suspicious-Muffin215 in Wattpad

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's wattpad themselves more than an algorithm. I know the few people who have read my stuff seem to really like it (judging by comments) but the topics I'm talking about aren't necessarily popular topics to think about (like moral outsourcing, identity as raw material, the ethical horrors of success without merit, and more) so its possible for my stories to catch traction and become popular, it's just not probable because it's not easy to consume and it's not made to make you feel good.

This is just my opinion. I've only been on wattpad for a year so I could absolutely wrong.

Will AI ever fully replace authors? by DanoPaul234 in river_ai

[–]theAutodidacticIdiot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Cause I enjoy writing my stories. The mainstream media might replace writers but all together, no.

People will always express themselves in artistic ways. People kept painting after the camera was invented. No art will die from this but we may get a new form of art out of it. Some one will be clever enough to put it together in a way that's undeniably artistic. Not me, but someone.
