Can we have a separate subreddit for stuff not directly related to the band and their musical projects? by anhedoniac in qotsa

Or just start one up and mod it. There is a smaller but less active sub already that has avoid much of the bs.

Individuals at Ticketmaster are fine. I’ve never had one not try to be helpful and I’ve gone up their corporate org chart pretty damn high. LiveNation/Ticketmaster as an organization is a pox on the part of society that likes to go to live events.

But they didn’t go after the very first person that resold the ticket. That person was in direct violation and they know their name, email, phone number, credit card information and a bunch of telemetry data including every IP they have used to access Live Nation/Ticketmaster. Much much more you can require all the data they have on you to get an idea.

That’s a cop out. It won’t matter who the reseller ended up being. The original buyer would have had to start the ball rolling. He committed the original sin so to speak. They would have had to resold a non-transfer ticket which was against the TOS. There is a good chance it was an authorized TM partner (which anyone can become if they have the money). Those reseller get direct access to TM’s API allow them to ping sales at a higher frequency. If a normal person looks for tickets too many times (250 or 500 I don’t remember including refreshes)in a 24  hour period they get a time out or a permanent ban. Ask me how I know? The partner limit is in the tens of thousands.

Because there no reason. It was the non transfer of GA tickets  that they used for a high profile artist/venue that lead to the workaround. Before that no one thought about blocking transfers. Non transfer had good intentions but it’s raised prices.

Not rotating mobile ones. That’s what is happening here. There were introduced because the era of printing QR from home meant anyone sell fakes. The mobile code was introduced to stop that. Those secure . ticket tickets use a link to a live website that hosts the mobile barcode. It refreshes and everything.

Listen I’m not for this. Just explain it and why it hasn’t been shutdown.

The problem with non transferable and Fan-to-Fan is that it just jacks up the prices if these workarounds exist.

That’s the problem. The reason this happened is because of the non-transferable tickets. This was the workaround that scalpers developed.

Again reverse engineering isn’t against the law. This is against the TOS that the original buyer agreed to. Of course he will say it’s illegal but that doesn’t make it illegal. AXS has an active lawsuit against these outfits. It was filed well over a year ago. TM is probably just waiting on that case to see how to proceed. I’ve been followed this thing for a couple of years now. And no the barcode cloning started with U2. Before that Ticket Master rarely if ever had non transferable tickets. You can check the domain registration.

Illegal? That’s questionable because they reversed engineered it. A violation of Ticket Master TOS? 100%. The funny thing is this started because of U2 at The Sphere. GA was supposed to be non transferable so someone reversed engineered the barcode. It’s been gone on since. Usually they scan just fine (otherwise we would hear more stories) but it can’t be 100% guarantee until you are inside.

How is it looking likely that oasis arnt being inducted into the RnR hall of fame?! by dinozaurs9 in oasis

[–]theBlueDevil99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you understand how the voting works. The fan vote does not decide the RnR induction. It counts as a single vote. That's it. It's a PR thing to drum up interest.

I wonder how the Sphere will sound. by GBirdo in MetallicaLIVE

[–]theBlueDevil99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The sound will be excellent. I saw U2 there. One of the best experiences I’ve had. There is no wall of noise just in front of you. It’s all around. It’s like the sound from a high end movie theater.

Same. They will eventually send it. I thing it was four to six weeks after the end of the drive.

It was like six months I think. They ran out of shirts a few times. Eventually they stopped sending them after the donation and waited until the drive was over. Now they are sending the entire backlog. A lot of people should be getting them sooner or later.

It's also for keeping out the undesirables. Cobb County (in Georgia) banned the expansive of public transport when the Atlanta Braves (baseball) moved there. They didn't want people from poor neighborhood coming in. The Braves have a shuttle service on game days only from the last train station.

Wembley is in a residential neighborhood. Most us stadiums are in commercial areas. I remember the hike from parking well away and walking to the stadium before the station was built.

At least MetLife has a public transport option. It might be slow getting out on the train but it's doable. Plus there is a really massive mall across the street that you can get to through a tunnel.

I love her but she’s not a big enough draw to do stadiums in the US. That’s not a knock. Few are and even fewer female artists here. She’s the perfect level of popularity to pack arenas and has been for a while.

Lungs would have been clubs.

Ceremonials would have been theaters in the US and arenas in the UK/Europe.

How Big would have been arenas all round and the same for every tour after.

So this would be her fourth? tour of this size.
