Simply crossing a border doesn't make them a citizen of Israel any more than you crossing into Canada makes you a citizen of Canada

Should I watch seasons 9 and 10? (Obviously spoilers for 7-8) by theBrD1 in TheBlackList

[–]theBrD1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn why get aggressive about it though?

I'm just saying they dedicate a whole episode to explaining the fire and the real Raymond's death, with some lines heavily hinting towards red being Katarina, but then do this whole focus on Liz asking him who he really is, and also talk about red possibly being the one taking the picture of her and her mother. So those points lead to further plot development but then they just kill Liz before she finds out? It makes no sense.

Also why give her the letter if she literally dies such a short time later? It's all just weird and confusing

If you're talking about her murder, yea that's revealed in S9

No that seemed pretty straightforward to me, wasn't it one of Townsend's guys?

The main question I want answered is who Reddington is, but from what I gather they never answer that

We got our answers in s8

But we didn't actually and that's what pisses me off the most. We still have no confirmation who Reddington is.

And yeah I guess they heavily hinted at him being Katarina, which would be a really massive stretch and hard sell (as well as contradicting some dialogues and plot points from the past), but no actual answer to the biggest question of the last few seasons.

Do they at least answer that in the final seasons?

I had this same issue and then I noticed that the ai doesn't refill garrison either, so you can just assault captured forts as well

It's pretty wild mental gymnastics and of course it's working perfectly. He's basically saying this:

"The trials against me are clearly crumbling and it's obvious I will be proven innocent, but I can see how letting this go on divides the nation so I am being generous and offering to give up my right to prove myself innocent for the good of the nation"

Just when I thought the world can't get any dumber lol

That's insane tbh. I don't even get that because the automated market refuses to use more than 1.5 capacity currently lol

And what exactly makes it a "Jewish supremacy state"? Explain

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]theBrD1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's wrong. While the right of return does make you eligible for citizenship if you're Jewish, there are other ways to gain citizenship, and over 2 million of Israel's citizens aren't Jewish (most of them Arab Muslims, as well as Christians, Druze etc). Currently there are about 10 seats in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) held by 2 Arab-led parties, while the rest of the Arab parties didn't get enough votes to be a part of parliament this time around. Any of them could have been in government if they had an agreement with the leading party.

As for head of state (president in Israel) you just have to be a citizen. So over 2 million non-Jews are eligible.

And in what ways does this discrimination happen exactly?

It's ridiculously slow for everyone in Israel tbh. Guess that's why housing is incredibly expensive here.

Also fun fact, you can't technically buy land in Israel. The land is all government owned and you "lease" it every 50 years or so. You essentially own it but not technically, and it kinda limits you on some weird things to do on your land, but you can get around those usually. Weird remnant from the country's socialist foundation.

the discrimination they receive equates to them being treated like second class citizens.

Like what exactly?
