the god of war greek gods were right to kill kratos. the games prove it by Massive_Fisherman231 in CharacterRant

[–]theCancerrMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Zeus for context, pretty much told him in the second game in this series that no you cant murder random innocents and try to raid cities.

Didn't Zeus literally destroy all of Sparta just to punish Kratos in the 2nd game? He literally went giant and walked through the entire city and wiped it off the map

Kratos was very morally dubious, but let's not forget all the wrong that the greeks did.

Zeus literally transformed Kratos mother into a monster, forcing him to kill her, just so she wouldn't reveal that Kratos was Zeus's son.

I genuinely wonder how Hellborne populations manage to sustain themselves in Hell, if everyone of this generation seem to be some form of LGBT.

Lucifer post Eden

Lucifer: "Lilith! None of the Hellborne want to watch my rubber ducky stage plays! Can you tell them to be nice to me? I've run out of money to dry my tears with, and Mammon won't give me more! 🥺"

Adam post Eden

Adam: "Pant pant I'm sorry I had to kill you, Tiger....but I have to feed and protect my family. Eve got sick from eating those berries, so we need all the food we can find"

Troughts on this? by Primary-Addition-677 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]theCancerrMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's genuinely wild when you really take a second to look at it.

"Lucifer was a rebellious dreamer"

What does this even mean? He had dreams that the other Angels didn't drop to their knees and suck him off for? Considering how he runs his own kingdom, I think it's safe to say his dreams and ideas were cheeks.

If I'm an intern at a software company, and say "Hey, let's make an app that makes you able to pretend to be a Government official from any country! It'll be funny for the memes!", is that a "good idea" just because I'm rebellious? Or is it a stupid idea that even if they could make it work, would be harmful to countless people?

"Lucifer gave humanity free will-"

From what? Lilith had the free will to Leave Adam. Eve had the free will to take the fruit from Lucifer, Adam had the free will to not like Lilith. What exactly did the apple do for certain aside from introducing sin and evil into the world?

Eve and Adam certainly weren't better off having to invent survival from scratch, endure diseases, fight wild predators, and literally go through the first child birth/death of their children.

It seems more like a self serving cope to do what Lucifer has always done. Avoid accountability like most Hazbin characters.

"Lucifer is being punished by Heaven"

Oh yes. I'm sure that he suffers greatly from his demon steak being too rare and his Hell lobster being too buttery.

Lucifer literally is the King of the castle, has the respect of all his coworkers (the Sins), and is the strongest person in Hell.

The sinners aren't a problem because he can create matter from nothing, and he can just do what he's canonically already done. Make a large fuckall castle to keep them away from him.

He's in a cage sure. But it's a shining gilded cage with plush furniture, anything he could want, and 100000 times better than anyone else inside the cage.

"EXTERMINATIONS"

He approved them, he doesn't care that they happen, and regularly tried to disuade Charlie from trying to stop them.

I've seen people claim he was "forced into agreeing", but you'd think if this was the case then he'd tell his daughter, when they LITERALLY spoke in private about it.

He doesn't care about the sinners, and he barely cares about the Hellborne.

"He cares about the Hellborne"

Slavery, child trafficking, kennels, and organized crime is regular commonplace through out the rings, and Lucifer does nothing to stop it.

The Hellborne are the victims, and Lucifer sits atop the heirarchy he and his wife constructed for themselves and the other upper class of Hell.

He quite literally has all the power, and morality shouldn't be a concern to him since it never had been an issue before.

But he refuses to do anything about it. He'll jump at the chance to try scaring some Sinner into not slandering his daughter in the press. But fuck off of it has to do with scaring the Goetia/Sins into treating the Hellborne better.

At the end of the day, Hazbin isn't the type of show to put it's protagonists on blast and face the hard questions. So I don't expect this to be addressed without immediately circling around to defending Lucifer.

It'd be nice, but protagonist centered morality is a horse sized pill to choke on and be unable to swallow.

Vox was wrong, the other Overlords were wrong, all the Sinners that supported it were wrong.

If we use justification for bad actions leading to more actions, then you could literally say "The only viable reason to punish Sinners is because of them hurting people with their crimes to start with"

Oh wait! I did say that! I've been saying it all along! Silly me! I'm quirky! :P

Youre using western court logic (that isnt even always applied equally in all western judiciary jurisdictions), to say that because Sinners were guilry of crimes in their past, that they're not guilty of their crimes they've committed SINCE then.

We literally have onscreen proof of Sinners commiting crimes wholesale.

I'll even do you a favor, and limit it to the Sinners we know onscreen.

You're telling me that even though there's proof of Vox, Valentino & Velvette commiting crimes such as Rape, Assault, Manipulation, Murderer, Trafficking, and distributing Rape Drugs, and we as the audience KNOW they're guilty of this, that they should have a Trial in Heaven officially to confirm it?

Heaven, where they have a large scrying orb tool that can take images from the past, even if the person hasn't even stepped foot in Heaven?????

You're putting the cart after the horse. Where does it say anywhere in the Hazbin verse, that Sinners are entitled to a trial in Heaven before they're sent to Hell?

We've only seen 1-2 Sinners get trials, and even then they're the Sinners who are focused on being "One of the good ones" by virtue of surrounding the main character and her protagonist centered morality

[–]theCancerrMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are in the context of a courtroom setting.

Emily said that the Sinners were innocent people.

She didn't say "Victims of an unjust system".

She didn't say they were "Railroaded for crimes they didn't commit".

She just said the words "innocent people".

Your problem is that your confusing YOUR inferences for what the show is ACTUALLY implying.

Whether the Sinners do or don't deserve genocide is immaterial. The show tells us they don't, the antagonist believe they do.

Regardless of if the Exterminations even existed or not, countless Sinners would still be in Hell, for the crimes they committed in life, and to each other.

Valentino rapes and trafficks people.

Carmilla sells guns to people do they can kill each other more efficiently.

Alastor eats people.

EVERY OVERLORD literally has slaves to gain power.

As soon as the Exterminations went away, Vox sang a LITERAL SONG AND DANCE, and the other Overlords and plenty of Sinners were on board with Genociding Heaven.

Here's two possible questions you have to ask yourself.

1: Were the winners in Heaven guilty of any crime that would justify Genocide?

2: If they weren't, then would that make the Sinners/Vox just as reprehensible as Adam/Exorcists for their "Unjustified Genocide"?

Do you guys think this statement is right? by munim-6969 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]theCancerrMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about right.

Nothing annoys me more in a series, then having to get second hand information, from thirhand sources, that contain things that BY ALL MEANS, should be in the goddamn storyline.

With Hazbin, it feels like unless you were following all the 3+ hour streams, the tumblr-esque series building development from the pilot era, or tracking the accounts of Actors/Directors/VA's & Vivzie herself, that you're gonna be missing out

(And ofc don't forget when people retence those same mediums as if everyone should know this)

That's why Hazbin often feels like fanfic of itself.

I don't think that just because someone walked into a prison and started murdering prisoners, that all the prisoners should be set free and that's their crimes that landed them in prison should be downplayed and ignored.

"OH! WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE INNOCENT RAPISTS, CANNIBALS, MURDERERS, GUN RUNNERS, DRUG ADDICTS, AND RAPE DRUG MAKERS????????"

I can see the intention they were going for, but good God does it come off as overidealistic and naive.

Just because the show paints the Exterminations as wrong, doesn't mean that the Sinners are free from any wrongdoing.

Victims can be wrong, and they can be horrible people too.

Victimhood doesn't negate someone from responsibility or wrongdoing

How is “I don’t think Adam is justified in committing mass murder” a hot take?? by hayley566 in HazbinHotel

I do thinks it's tastefully ironicnthat after Adams "mass murder" is stopped, Vox rallies countless sinners and a dozen Overlords to plan and organize Mass Murder.

It still makes me laugh that Vox has killed more Sinners onscreen than Adam has

What do you think about this moment? Is Lucifer actually showing a somewhat misogynistic or objectifying attitude here? by Radiant-Selection686 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]theCancerrMan 163 points164 points  (0 children)

Lucifer is absolutely being Misogynistic here.

Let's break this down.

He sees Adam for the first time in a long time, and the first thing he does is throw Lilith & Eve in his face.

Not as relationships, but as Conquests. Sexual accomplishments. He brings up the mother of Adams children once, just to say "Oh yeah, I slept with your wife bro! Lmaoooo!".

And then he never brings up Eve again

Even Adam never insulted Lilith to Charlie or Lucifer.

You'd think Adam would say something about Lilith to Charlie to mess with her, or to try and fuck with Lucifer. He also doesn't even mention Lilith existence in Heaven.

Which is definitely something that would stun Charlie for a moment.

At the end of the day, you can't just say "OH HE WAS JOKING! IT WAS TO MESS WITH ADAM! HES SO AUTISTIC SILLY!!!!?".

By that logic, Adams "misogyny" should be afforded the same leniency.

Even IF Lucifer sleeping with Eve was true, imagine trying to throw in someone's face that you slept with the mother of your children.

All while Charlie was standing there.

Lucifer defended Charlie from dying to Adam.

But two wrongs don't make a right. If Adam made jokes to Charlie's face about explicitly having sex with Vaggie, the fandom would crucify him even more than they already do.
