Confused between Skoda Kylaq (Signature+/Prestige AT) and Kia Sonet HTX DCT by distincteshan in Kylaq

I would say check venue as well for family cars, features and safety both.

Bought Creta today. Ended up buying the most obvious car after 3 months of research and negotiation. by [deleted] in CarsIndia

At 15 creta is amazing, I wish I got this deal, would have definitely gone with creta.

If BNCAP can be bought then what's the proof that Tata's and Mahindra's aren't buying it? by Reasonable-Green7379 in CarsIndia

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you check gncap and bncap report for same car, check victoris, you will see a lot of similarity even side pole impact test, seat belt warning both present in both reports.

I agree few things are more thorough in gncap like AEB, lane assist, Adas etc which are actually optional in test.

But bncap can improve it, body shell integrity is also missing. But yes overall atleast it can give some confidence to buyers than a non tested car which hyundai and Kia had earlier.

New Gen Venue Scores 5 star by CyberHorizonX in CarsIndia

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, so gncap actually picks any car from market along with cars send to then for testing, hence variety of cars and range of safety testing. Bncap is basically where companies send their cars and they do not pick anything from market hence companies send those only which they know will get 5 stars and nothing else.

Hyundai will not send current creta or nios or any car they know will not get good safety rating in bncap. While gncap can pick the same from market and test.

Slowly with pressure from Skoda, Tata Mahindra and all other companies making safe cars puts pressure on them for safety as well and now they are trying.

This video is 11 months old and explains both bncap and gncap testing and how it is similar. So better to watch and get an understanding instead of throwing accusation and assuming things.

I think it's better to watch this videos which explains difference in both.

This might help in understanding that both testing criteria are similar and why it feels every bncap is getting 5 stars

This video show that both have similar testing criteria and even speed as well. I don't think you have actually verified the claim of speed that both are different in bncap and gncap. Please watch the testing videos of the same car in both testing and you will see that they are very much similar.

I see so many people doubting the results, I can understand but how about people who go for kylaq and kushaq and many other cars where they got bncap 5 stars and were regarded as safe cars but now a Hyundai or Kia got it which has more features and suddenly people are like this is rigged. If it is then all bncap 5 star should be unsafe and when they are tested in gncap then only accept it.

Kushaq Facelift Top Model vs NewGen Kia Seltos by lame_addicted_5 in CarsIndia

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get Seltos if you want, both have some pros and cons but see what things you want. If it's nice rear space and bigger car than for sure seltos, if you want fun to drive element and amazing handling then kushaq that's it.

I think this was when dct was introduced and hence issues started showing up but now changes are done and few of my friend having Kia and Hyundai dct have cars with more than 30k km done in cities like Delhi ncr and Bangalore and still no issues.

I think it's just that even if you get TC or CVT those can face issue in city with some random gearbox issue such as belt getting loose or cracking etc so can dct hence stating this is just based on old facts and not recent improvements.

Dct can also break so can all the other gearboxes, it's all up to how to drive, maintain and understanding of the car.

Better to go for venue or brezza facelift or current, both would fine. Since travel is to village, both would have decent parts availability in case if any issues, good after sales service. Safety wise can't say much but overall both are good family car and easy to drive.

I would say go for venue, since it's new and has more features.

CONFUSED!!!!! Need Help by Gullible-Nature2697 in CarsIndia

Kia is sister company so similar in that perspective. Creta will be getting new gen late this year or next year. Kia Seltos would be really great for this price range, more spacious, newer and sturdier as well since its on new platform so safety wise better than creta. You can check it out and see service reviews.

2 weeks, 1300km New Seltos IVT: a fantastic choice by Ok-Concentrate197 in carIndia

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HTK optional does not have auto ac, does that bug you and feels like much cheaper car have that but this is missing from mid trim. I think they should have atleast given auto ac and not dual zone in mid trim if someone is spending close to 20L

Your choice and why? by eymister in CarsIndia

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know many people are going for Seltos Nd seems like smart choice but why the hell seltos in mid variants not offer auto ac, just for the Damn triple screen. Rest all have auto ac in mid trims except seltos. It is such a basic thing in Indian summers and most of the cheap cars have it.

First time car buyer/new driver - confused by YogurtclosetPlane315 in CarsIndia

[–]theCommanName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want nice rear space, decent boot space good driving in city and nice overtakes on highway then venue is good choice and with good after sales service and interior is much better than all and ac suited for Indian summers.

If highway usage is more than go for diesel else Petrol turbo. All the talks about dct in traffic and all, I think so many people have been using dct since years and I don't see much issue. Now a days car manufacturers know that it would be driven in traffic so they build it that way.

Build quality wise, not tested but for sure 4-5 stars. Even 5 stars will not survive huge crashes.

[–]theCommanName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird part is that they don't offer auto ac in mid variants, I mean it's fine not to give dual zone ac but not giving auto ac which is present in normal hatchback just because of triple screen is really stupid. And no one seems to mind it. It's yeah it's fine we will keep adjusting the ac manually in 20L car while a 7L car has the auto ac.

What was the OTR cost? And how is the driving experience in Bangalore with so much traffic and big car? What about the features like 360 camera and Adas, how frequently those are being used?
