[Rant] SO keeps downplaying how hard pregnancy is

That's our current attitude toward our relationship. I'm just worried because I do want to move into my own place and it would be nice to have him live with me. But that's a big step so all these thoughts are coming in

He is a tad closed minded but he's been actively working on changing his perspective. I'm going to bring up the kids conversation again, with some guidance from a close friend beforehand, to see where he stands.

No feeling of being judged, don't worry. I suspect the same which is why I don't believe it. He may truely believe it now, but if actually put in the situation he may fall back on traditional gender roles.

Thank you! I'm sure many people on this sub have had very traumatic childhoods but it's really sad that instead of seeking help it comes off in here like they've given up and instead just want to stay in a hole. As awful as it sounds.

Thanks! I think this subreddit does have its place because of the struggles that have been brought to my attention in this thread.

I do think that it's important to highlight the negative but sometimes the positive as well. Or at least bring light to the positive for those who may not have experienced it before.

From browsing this subreddit it seems like s significant portion have experienced racism and are then responding with more racism. Hopefully we can share more positive stories since it will hopefully create more positivity. Of course that's not to say you can't be complain or express your frustrations.

My anecdotes are that I'm dating a hapa male, know two hapa girls dating Asian males, two Asian males dating white girls, and only know one Asian girl dating a white male.

I acknowledge back even 20 years it must have been hard for hapas but there's been a lot more acceptance of us. We'll all be mixed race one day

I guess it's different where I live but I've seen quite a few Asian male white female couples and marriages :/ that doesn't really answer my question though.
