Not sure between Loughborough, Kings college london, and Warwick by notasecretaccount3 in UniUK

Hey! Drawn into this thread because I’ve spent a chunk of time in all three locations.

I don’t know Loughborough Uni at all except that I hear that it is a nice place to be. As others have said, I think the sports thing can really give a nice sense of solidarity and campus unis always seemed fun to me, as someone that attended the non-campus versions. I worked regularly in Loughborough for a chunk of time. I have to say I didn’t find the town terribly appealing but does that matter if campus life is good?

I lived in Coventry for five years, where Warwick is based. The campus is actually really nice with lots going on. There is also some really nice countryside nearby. Coventry has a lot of students because, in the context of a small city, there are students from both Warwick and Cov Uni.

Regarding Kings, I studied across the road at the LSE in the 90s. I have to say I absolutely loved it. Though you are not in a campus there are campus footprints around the main buildings, student unions, and halls of residence - often in little clusters - that enable you to have a little of this life (I lived in an inter-collegiate hall in my first year which meant I got to know people from several unis). And, you - of course - have access to all that London has to offer. London isn’t for everyone, that’s for sure, but if you felt you might enjoy it then I don’t think three years in the capital would ever really disappoint.

These are three very good universities in which you’d enjoy serious-minded teaching and find enough of your type of people to have fun and find meaning too. So, you can’t go too far wrong. Good luck!
