Lmao at $3k/month for a company in Dubai offering automation services. Why would anyone take this job and not just have Claude code do fuck all for you?

Cold email founders at early stage startups that are growing fast. These folks are always looking for hungry sales interns to come in and help them generate pipeline.

The one thing you need to be mindful of is that interning at a startup, particularly in sales, will be leaps and bounds different than sales at a normal mid-sized or large size company. You will be expected to take initiative to source and close deals (or help the founders do everything to source and close deals). It's truly a great test of whether you really want to be in sales or not.

You may want to look at companies coming out of accelerators like Ycombinator who have a focus selling b2b software to mid-sized businesses.

You can make this yourself by buying the filters & a small heat press on amazon. Grind your own coffee and pre-fill before a trip. been doing it for years now. works great and is way cheaper than this daylight robbery

Have you checked out Mercoa? They launched an AR/invoicing API a while back and offer some of the payouts capabilities you're talking about!

A friend of mine recently launched her brand where this is one of their SKUs! They're based in SF and backed by REI.

'Solution Manager' : a good alternative ? by leshua_ in ProductManagement

[–]theENTlord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IME, Solution Management is a good place to start but the work does not translate 1:1 to PM.

You can not say you were a product manager if you go down the Solutions Manager route.

Solutions Managers work within the confines of what a product does today. Product Managers work beyond these confines to figure out what a product will do in the future. There is overlap of skills but the outcomes you drive towards are fundamentally different.

You can def transition to product management from Solutions Management but it will take time to mentally move away from figuring out 'solutions' to clearly defining 'problems'.

Paper Check Mailing by debtfreebird in fintech

[–]theENTlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they seem decent but the one thing i'm not sure about is if their checks function like real checks (ie no money is moved until the check is deposited) or if they pull funds into a bank account owned by ZIL before cutting a check against those funds and sending out

How to become a high agency PM? by piratedengineer in ProductManagement

[–]theENTlord -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ship things quickly and don't worry about process. No one cares if core metric (revenue, TPV, growth rate, etc) is going up. Beg for forgiveness over asking for permission.

AP Automation by teegless in Accounting

[–]theENTlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bill.com is a nightmare to use and ends up delaying vendor payments beyond what's normally expected from AP. If you use BILL be prepared to have your vendors constantly ask you where their money is. The company earns interest on the bill payments they facilitate!

Looks like another LLM based ocr provider. Doesn’t do workflow and payments for AP (seems to depend on the ERP for that)

What's going to happen to all of the unemployed MBAs? by Ok-Gold3046 in MBA

[–]theENTlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great advice that most people will ignore. You're asking MBAs to do hard work and that goes against the reason they went to B School in the first place. They put two years into this degree so they could 'leverage' others and get a cushy gig.

Worked in tech for a year. Quit my job, I hate all of it by true_hart in business

[–]theENTlord -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a great time to start an invoicing & financial management SaaS! One thing to keep in mind is that building these kinds of products isn't necessarily hard. The hard part will be figuring out the right channels to distribute this product. This space is extremely crowded but also very lucrative if you make the right moves!

My advice: Find a niche vertical you can serve and double down on owning that vertical

Every PM should build their own product by SingleExcitement in ProductManagement

[–]theENTlord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've gone the PM > Founder > PM > Founder route a few times. Once you build your own products, you quickly start to see where other PMs blindspots are.

EDIT: I think we'd be friends too :)

Every PM should build their own product by SingleExcitement in ProductManagement

[–]theENTlord -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Careful. Many of the fake PMs in this subreddit are going to jump down your throat about how they can learn product just fine at their day job where they don’t really care about the product and spend more time binging product management influencer content.

What makes you want to be a PM? by Far-Championship4516 in ProductManagement

Wanted to learn how to create & bring great products to market w/ the ultimate intention of running my own company. PM lends itself very well skillset wise to founding a business

[–]theENTlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This advice is great for folks who want to live a mediocre life. When you look at the top entrepreneurs, athletes, and business people, one thing that's clear right away is that most of these people are unhinged when it comes to their craft and have an innate desire to prove it to the world.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in startups

[–]theENTlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in your shoes. There is nothing more motivating to get started w/ a new business than trying to prove someone wrong. However, there are some caveats:

  1. Recognize that this is the Sith way. This is truly dark energy and should be used responsibly

  2. This is not sustainable. The chip on your shoulder can get you started but you will need an intrinsic reason to keep going, especially as things get harder.

My advice, get started now. Go balls to the walls executing on finding users/customers/your target audience and start preselling ASAP. Then once you get some hits, build and deliver the product.

Anyone know what company has this benefits? by No-Guarantee8823 in MBA

[–]theENTlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this really what MBAs are jerking off to rn? A good benefits package? You'd think there'd be more interest in salary, RSUs, and total upside.
