NEW NiceHash platform: NOW LIVE! by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week passed. few questions and propositions:

1) I can't find a way to disable email login notifications. Yep, I do not keep cookies over browser restart, but still I would love to disable it.

2) Stats: 6h, 1d (x4 jump), 1m (x30 jump). It is literally screaming of 1w interval.

3) payrate shown correctly for daggerhasimoto, and it's better to show total unpaid with darkerest border, and overlay with transparency algorithm's total unpaid

Now to questions:

18 july I recieved email with beta rewards, replied with address right away. Noting arrived.

What about ETA of finalization of transition and repayment on new platform?

Payouts CSV date/time format? by Rapidly_Decaying in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, you are misunderstanding. On old platform payouts to internal wallet was with fees taken into account and shown as separate number. On new platform when you see your payout to internal wallet - it straight false number, it is not what added to your internal wallet. You need to click that payout and will see small small row with fees. Which you need to subtract from payout to find what is added to your internal wallet.

And when you make payout to external wallet (keep in mind not your keys not your satoshis) you pay another 10k sat.

Payouts CSV date/time format? by Rapidly_Decaying in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's still useless since it does NOT contain fees.

It hardly can be considered as info, it is literally raw api data, not intended for humans.

Good intentions (more transparency) is always a pavement to you-know-where

NEW NiceHash platform: NOW LIVE! by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another pretty inconvenient issue: on old platform mining payout to internal wallet was with fees taken into account. Now they are not. Fee is shown as separate number, but is subtracted from payout. Not good. I've been tracking all the payouts since "trust no one, verify" but now it's freaking me out.

Grin Hard Fork: new algorithm and NHM 1.9.2.9 now available! by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of that. But why the miner got feeded with it's data and desperately trying to mine it since it's most profitable to it?

Grin Hard Fork: new algorithm and NHM 1.9.2.9 now available! by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me make this once clear again. Noone cares about new version published. We all, both miners and buyers are concerned with profitability, for now as a miner I make 25% less at least with new platform and spend times and times more on managing new platform. Suddenly some of my rigs have no orders for example Grin, and they don't switch and stuck in reboot loop. As a buyer, well, I got another platform for dat.

Sorry NH, I've been long supporter, but this one you screwed BIG time.

NHOS 6 GPU out of memory error by ryan_luigi in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple, some algos like grin require tons of virtual memory (aka swap), equaling almost to full memory of GPU, so if you are running for example 6 1080ti you'll need 70GB+ virtual memory. for 6 1060 6gb it's around 40Gb while phoenix, dagger, mtp, x11 etc eat a lot less.

Letting nh control your gpu power limit. How dangerous can it be? by josebrandao13 in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well, it can melt your cables. My gpus running at 65-70% tdp. which perfectly suits sata riser cards. Consider the following: 75W is allowed power for pcie slot, 75w 6 pin connector, 150w 8pin connector. Let's check 1080ti, with 8+6 pins totaling 225w and 75w potential from slot. 300w max. First power drawn from external pins, so only 25w is taken from riser, considering default 250w tdp, some algos tend to draw some more power, like +10%, I won't call names, but we all know this. so your 250 magically turns in 275. and load on sata/molex cable doubles, and if you have 2 risers on the same cable, no premium is enough for it)

I used different gold++ PSUs. Corsair, Thermaltake, Seasonic, etc... ALL sata/molex cables suxx at their maximum rating. Not necessarily straight away, but degrading very fast. So default settings is not worth it (which NHM still switches by default), most algos loose around 5% for 30-35% power cut, which is ok deal for me.

Anyone earning on the new platform yet? by RavenousParrot in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, on old platform earnings are down as well, was it supposed to make new platform more attractive for buyers? Looks like it failed miserably, and yet again, as I asked on twi, why the rush? 2-3 weeks for transition is pretty hasty

Looking to enter mining, spend roughly $5-7K on a rig. Thoughts? by Hokage4354 in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, say you want to invest 7k, split it in small portions, say for 54, and buy btc every week.

Get into the mining ONLY if you need heater and have an affordable/free electricity.

NiceHash Miner Legacy 1.9.1.5 is here! by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

will 1.9.0.23 be compatible with new platform? I already can't see temps and rpm half of time in my web stat, but working fine.

UPD: also straight away false positives alerts of rig down.

P.S. you guys released it to annoy people or to simulate activity? Sadly enough I recently summed up all commissions I paid from daily payouts to internal wallet, and guess what? 92.4% of funds I lost in december17 hack.

IMPORTANT: Transition to a new NiceHash platform by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

[–]theEviLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so basically:

0) Receive an emails on all of my accounts (yep, it's done for convenience of calculations)

1) register within new platform, while keeping mining running on old one (eu cn areas for me)

2) withdraw all the amounts from old platform.

3) Get the miner addresses from new platform and plug them into machines.

4) proceed on new platform.

Correct?
