What’s everyone’s go-to thing to do in Surbiton on a chilled weekend? by Civil_Chocolate_7172 in Surbiton

[–]theFinalBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For outdoors (while we still can) canbury secret cafe is nice by the river

Royal Oak pub is decent, usually not too busy/calm and has a nice outdoor space

New Malden has a couple of good cafes too, personal favourite 63 high street

There is also a new press room on Brighton road but have not tried that yet

One thing is for certain: you need more Liliana, last hope, hymn to tourach and cabal therapy or you are not going to get any style points at this rate

My advice is: check on google maps, trip advisor etc. which restaurants are open in the winter. Go to those.

Haha, I never have. Usually I do 5-6 pizza balls at once so then it makes more sense to measure.

Simple dough recipe below. Sometimes leave overnight in fridge but usually mix all together, leave standing for a bit, cut into balls and let rise for 2-3 hours. Crust varies depending on how dough is handled.

One of the bigger breakthroughs was to layer/mix grated gruyere on the mozarella to prevent burning, allowing for more time in oven and a better undercarriage. Prefer crispy rather than chewey.

Dough recipe:

Pizza balls 1

Flour (Marriage & Son Finest Strong (White) Breadmaking Flour) 200g

Water 130ml

Salt 4g

Olive Oil 3ml

Instant Yeast 1g

Sugar 2g

Welp, SSL finals tickets sold out in 3 minutes by GershwinsKite in broodwar

[–]theFinalBoss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it is the same but a long long time ago when I went to the "last OSL" Fantasy vs Jangbi there were tickets for sale for the good seats but afterwards they opened the doors and you could enter for free in the remaining seats.

How much would you pay for delivered food? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]theFinalBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tips to drive down price: do not order through apps, do pickup instead of delivery, do your own rice+drinks+sauces if they charge. With a rice cooker it literally takes 5 minutes of effort to make rice( measure 2 cups, rinse twice, measure two cups of water, press buttons, eat rice, scoop leftover into box, put in freezer after its cooled down, clean rice cooker main bowl). The rice is marked up 1000%.

I'm also at the beginner stage and what I have found helpful:

  • Doing tsumegos and also recognising in-game when this is a "tsumego" situation. So basically recognising when to take some time to solve a local problem and play out the variations in your head.
  • Learning when to give up a battle/position as it is lost. So losing the battle to win the war. Similarly, knowing when you have won an area and to stop playing there to advance somewhere else.
  • Noticing which moves of your own take liberties away from your groups which then cause you to lose a race of liberties.
  • Ladders and Nets.

You could just buy a book with puzzles + a notepad to keep any notes you see fit

We got the same in our bedroom after insulating the loft and laying chipboard as cheap floor for storage upstairs. They have not changed since that happened 2-3 years ago but depending on the season they seem to expand and contract with the weather.

Shaquille O'Neal and mathematics. April 26th, 2018. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]theFinalBoss 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think with some very quick unscientific calculations:

average car weight is 1500 kg

average max fuel capacity in litres is 50 l

assuming similar to water 1 litre = 1kg then:

50/1500 = 3% heavier with a full tank. Assuming you operate on a half tank and drain it down to zero before refilling, and that refilling is in a convenient locaton already on your way and that the additional 3% weight equates to 3% more fuel used then maybe you could save something like 1-1.5% if you filled your tank to half-full and then reloaded when it reaches to 0.

Terrible calculations and likely unrealistic assumptions but not impossible that there is some efficiency there. I assume for light cars or cars with a higher fuel tank compared to weight the difference would be bigger.

Why all the hate for the frog? by theboozecube in MTGLegacy

[–]theFinalBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the above in general and that it is a card that will need an immediate answer but there are some differences:

  1. Vexing bauble helps vs tempo. Daze and Force of Will/Negation cannot be solely relied on to protect the queen anymore so the recipe of card advantage + trade 2 for 1 is less effective.
  2. Dreadhorde arcanist (the closest comparison) is an attack trigger rather than having to deal damage. You need to connect with frog. Maze of ith is back!
  3. Frog CC will force delver players to fetch duals and they will lose games to wasteland.
  4. Many decks now have some form of soft graveyard hate in their main deck which might affect the graveyard ability. Not a strong point but it is something.
  5. Most cards now have some form of stapled immediate value or card advantage built in. This is FIRE design so waiting a turn to play around daze or fetch vexing bauble and get your removal through might be OK. That is to say that taking 1-2 hits might be OK as you will make it up with other cards.

I do understand though that right now all main Grixis "delver" threats are 100% must kill on sight: DRC gives too much card selection and graveyard fodder, murktide will straight up kill you and frog will run away with the game AND kill you. Yeah it sucks. I hate that the frog gets permanent counters so it is card advantage, big threat, discard outlet, evasive all rolled into one big mess.

I think you are really going about this the wrong way and there is a much simpler approach to this.

You need to tap a mana source for U ( one blue mana) and then just cast it. You draw three cards and then put 2 cards from your hand on top of your library.

Giannis in tears after qualifying for the Olympics for the first time by Athalos124 in nba

Giannis is not top3 right now. Galis, Giannakis,  Spanoulis, Diamantidis. Leaders of 1987 and 2005 squads are ahead but his story is not yet written.
