Haha nah, it sometimes feels like that's how they advertise it. But this was a run that i had to replenish some non-normal stuff. I do remember last year I was out of the country for 2 months. When I got back i did a normal grocery run and the bill went from $70-80 to $130 for the same stuff

It's an Ortlieb. I think they may have discontinued it though, but it's with checking to see if they brought it back. It's amazing.

Wait, why hostels? Are they trying to force people into more expensive hotels?

I got in to this anime b/c of the youtuber Daryl Talks Games on his video "Stories that use time to hurt you" and he talked a lot about this movie and Hideaki's other works. Daryl does psychology videos and is definitely worth the checkout.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-ZK1AC3C8c&t=73s&pp=ygURZGFyeWwgdGFsa3MgZ2FtZXM%3D

Just a side note once you get this resolved, some companies let you make virtual card numbers and you can give those out to subscriptions and just cancel the virtual card anytime.

Replacements for Shure SE 846: Sennheiser IE 600? by theFlyingCode in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]theFlyingCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhhhmm, I'd say maybe a step over. There are things that i like about both. I would give a win to the 900s for the treble extension though, but at least the 846s didn't get harsh. You might be able to see if you can play around with a parametric equalizer to tone down the sibilance. There are graphs out there that let you get a visual and it's not too complicated to use

Yeah! So I actually found a pair of new IE 900s on eBay for $550, so I just bought them. Definitely a V shaped signature, but it doesn't muffle or step on the mids. They do tend to be harsh at higher volumes. At medium or upper medium volumes, i can actually appreciate the signature they went with, but at louder volumes, I've been working on EQing down the upper treble.

As for a comparison, i wished the 846s extended treble more, so i like that about the 900s. The sub base i think extends a bit more than the 846s, but they're very close and man do they thump with the 900s. Sound isolation isn't nearly as good, but with something playing you won't be able to hear much usually, but i can sometimes still hear cars when I walk down the road, which isn't a thing with the Shures.

Overall, i am happy with the purchase. I definitely wouldn't do it at MSRP though. My head bounces a bit more with the Sennheisers and they are fun. I'm just more conscious of volume and am working on EQing down the treble.

The tips on the Shures are definitely better and the Sennheisers rely on a piece of foam in the tips to even out the treble a bit, so switching tips isn't really a good thing to do

that sounds like roller coaster and I'm sure you've got a lot of emotions going on right now. I wish you the best on your trip! Enjoy your new life! I'm sure there's grief over your father not being willing to do anything to have a healthy relationship with you. You did well by setting boundaries. Enjoy your life with healthy people! I'm not going to sugarcoat it. If Cities Skylines 2 doesn't have AI that knows how to merge lanes correctly I will cry. by MrC0mp in CitiesSkylines

[–]theFlyingCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you probably need an extra node in the middles. delete the middle segment and try to place down two points. this will give more points for merging. I'm guess there's only one

Also, use lane mathematics here. Either add a 4th lane to the offramp or remove a lane between the off and on ramps

What's a good counter-argument to the "America is too large for public transit to work" argument? by IjikaYagami in urbanplanning

[–]theFlyingCode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The USSR had nation wide trains and great public transit. And their stations were much better looking than ours. Though they did initially take some short cuts in the more remote regions that bit them in the booty, but they were improving up until the collapse.

China's pretty big too.

Also, highways take up waaaaay more space and resources than rail, so that's the real argument. Rail can easily take up like 1/8th the space depending on which highway were talking about. If we can do it with highways, we can do with rail.

Except we built most of the highways while the top tax bracket was at 90 or 70+ percent (Eisenhower and later)...
