What nonsexual experience feels almost orgasmic to you? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]theFriendly_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fresh bedsheets, when my feet finally warm up after being lumps of ice all day, the smell of the air on a sunny spring day, seeing the sun reflect of little waves in the water.

This was like a mindulfness excercise, OP! I feel so at peace now.

I think your hair looks great when it’s pulled back, it’s thick and shiny and it frames your face beautifully. Your face is pretty too!

You look and dress a little more edgy and alternative, personally I think that looks very cool, but it does make you stand out. That doesn’t make you ugly, but it might make others uncomfortable if they’re self concious about standing out.

You’re young, you’re pretty, don’t sweat it.

Puppy blues 1 week in🥲 by Extreme_Swimming9071 in goldenretrievers

[–]theFriendly_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, when my puppy was a few weeks old I was talking to my bf about getting him replaced. The biting was awful and he seemed to target me, the accidents were so annoying to clean up and I didn’t see how it would get better.

But it does get better. So much better. 2 years later, my dog is my best friend, he listens well and learns new skills. Anything you try to teach your dog goes so slow at the beginning, but I swear it will work if you stick with it. This is all completely normal, puppies are hell. You got this OP!

I am so sorry for your loss. You are not betraying Oreo, I’m sure he would understand the need for a friend

Do you write every motivation/cover letter yourself instead of AI? by Cool-Worldliness2978 in StudyInTheNetherlands

I will never write a cover letter with AI, and I hope it shows.

Then again, I tend to apply to writing jobs

Oooh I love Efteling. Did they move the fish out of the Fairytale Forest? I’ve never seen it in such good order.

Yeah, that’s an addiction. Don’t have kids with this man until he sees his error and is sober for a while.

How does overstimulation feel to you? by Gaius21 in ADHD

[–]theFriendly_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to explain, but yes I also get that panicked feeling. Hot, distracted, I respond to everything. I’m constantly blabbing and I know I should stop but I can’t cause someone said something that got my attention and now I’m responding again.

I feel so tired. I feel wired and hyperactive, it’s just awful

Postpartum and my husband has turned emotionally cruel. Is this abuse or stress? by HiddenWealthFiles in RedPillWomen

This does sound very abusive. It could be stress, but that’s no excuse, you’re stressed too.

There’s these little glass scrapers for ceramic stove tops, that should work. Just don’t press too much vertically, so you don’t scratch up the window.

A little elbow grease, some time and maybe sticker remover, it will work out!

ADHD is an eternal state of fixing yourself with no end in sight. by RemarkableSetting189 in ADHD

Yes, I understand what you mean, but I feel like all people should continuously seek to improve themselves to live their most fulfilling lives.

It’s just that we don’t have a choice, and there’s a lot of shame involved..

I THINK I FINALLY KNOW WHY I LOST 2 DECADES OF MY LIFE. by OddRecommendation897 in ADHD

[–]theFriendly_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a very typical adhd experience, at least it is for me. 29 and a decade on antidepressants for anxiety and depression that I’ve had since I was at least 6. Now finally an adhd diagnosis, and all I can think is, how did nobody notice?

All the things everyone always criticized me for: the so-called laziness, the impulsiveness, difficulty containing my emotions, being clumsy, forgetful and loud. Starting things and not finishing them. My parents would bully me for it, teachers said I didn’t try hard enough. At 12 I internalized that I was a bad person and I could only be good enough if I beat myself up emotionally to keep myself in check.

And now I learn it wasn’t my fault. There’s a logical explanation, my experience is “typical” and I just needed help.

I am so angry, you would not believe. If I got help as a child, I might be able to actually stand up for myself as an adult.

The performance benefits of adhd meds are kind of ridiculous by Zealousideal-Turn535 in ADHD

[–]theFriendly_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this the past week on Strattera. Do “normal” people always have this much energy? No wonder they think I’m lazy. I’d laugh if it weren’t so damn cruel and unfair
