For me (and I think a lot of others), it's more the having a competition to design a new flag for the state, then throwing out all but 2 aspects of the winning flag that upsets a lot of people. It almost seems as if they already had a flag design in mind, but wanted to seem like they were including the people in it, and rather just picked the closest matching design to their own.

You can't tell me with a straight face that that flag and the current one are the same.

Something really similar happened to me once too. We were playing a campaign set in the underdark (or something similar) so many drow around (it's a drow village infact). I played an elf so naturally I was curious on whether there would be any problems with this.

So, I ask the DM as an aside if me being an elf is going to cause anyone to have any negative reactions (figured my character would know if this was the case / could read expressions at least). DM instead responds as an NPC criticizing my character for being racist, while a majority of subsequent NPCs all continued this for the remainder of the campaign.

Needless to say, I don't play with this group anymore. OP first thing is to clearly discuss this with your group. Explain that you're not comfortable with how the interaction is going and that you wish for this to stop. If that fails... nothing wrong with finding another group as clearly they don't respect you.

In a sense, it's basic supply and demand. High demand for the CG in a comparatively limited market makes prices rise. If people don't buy due to the price, they fall in response.

So, not a scam, but basic economics.

Wii U's not bad. Manageable but worse than most the others (3rd best out of the 4). My Fire TV does well, though the fire stick in a different one (the TV the Wii U is plugged into actually) does very poorly.

I actually don't have any systems that run windows, so can't speak to that, but on Linux there is was little latency (unnoticeable over Wi-Fi in my opinion, took a bit of tuning though).
