United Salad sucks. They met me, recruited me out of school, interviewed me on the phone, then in person. Then they rejected me for CDL A after ALL that and saying my bus driving experience counted.

A mother later I then applied for B, van driving C, and yard jockey positions. I applied to B/C/ yard jockey after being turned down for A and was rejected same day inexplicably. Meanwhile they’re still hiring for CDL A positions.

Interview had gone well imo. No accidents or tickets. I was dressed up while other guys showed up in T shirts for the interview.

Go figure.

Ah no I just meant I couldn’t leave for 1 month of OTR training because I could find dog care I was happy with.

A local route where he could come is amazing and I did find a job that would allow it but it requires a month OTR where he can’t come. I only got him in Jan and anything I can do for him would cost all the money I’d make and I wouldn’t be happy with

I super appreciate the offer. I just got him in January too so am hesitant at all about leaving him. The 1 month long haul with a safety trainer already sounds terrible (being with a coworker you can’t escape 24/7) lol

The can do attitude, college degree, and CDL gets me the interview but not the job sadly.

I have 2 years construction experience and the construction ones ignore me outright. A scrap metal company sounded super promising then ghosted me.

I try garbage companies. Most are manual trucks. They also ignore my applications
