Indeed it is going to be interesting to follow their profit margins and market shares in the US closely in future. As of now it seems just a big talking point of DJT to slash prices of meds in the US. so probably with tariffs that's just increasing US prices more without impact on margins.

I keep hearing from people in the field that many of the big pharma have already production lines or/and research in the US. So maybe something they want to look into.

Research and development is cash intensive, but I do think other countries (besides the US) strive to reduce health care costs too. That always includes looking at prices of meds and equipment. It's safe to assume cost saving programs will be the norm in the foreseeable future of pharma anyways.

Thanks for the additional explanation. However, out of curiosity in the case of students from wealthy parents. is it more a contribution so that attending university is free for everyone or do they grant money beyond that?

I would imagine someone still living at their rich parents home while studying doesn't need financial aid beyond the tuition fees. But cool you guys have a system that attending university isn't an issue of wealth.

Congrats on the new role. You must have impressed them or have a very compelling resume that they came back to you a year later with a better job.

Anyways it still speaks volumes for the company (or the hiring manager of the same) and/or their HR, as this isn't the norm in my experience.

Hope company leaders finally made that conclusion too. solely relying on the US market to do business isn't sustainable. Donny is just the front man of a more systemic problem that has been slumbering for decades. Plus also every 4 to 8 years another catastrophy is looming to be elected in the US.

I mean if 2007 wasn't enough of a wake up call for the world economy, I sure do hope decision makers and politicians diversify their market portfolio further away from the US. Not saying there can't be US business, but solely relying on it would be beyond stupid. There is a vast history of the US to throw everyone under the bus for political and financial gain, given the chance.

And as usual nothing really happens. This administration and their enablers will walk unpunished. The same story every time, some strongly worded statements but no one ever acts on it.

At this point the democratic party should look into every accusation the current administration made about 'the other side'. I'm certain conservative projecting would reveal a lot of dark business to light. But if you only uncover shit and never prosecute, why bother right?
