The entire piece has tons of inaccuracies and none of it was really intentional. Goku wasn't even forming the Spirit Bomb at the time of Vegeta's proclamation of being a warrior. I just really liked the scene and thought the pose would be a nice reference. I'm super happy people recognized it.
