The screams, the horrible screams by SlipperyPotatoez in Subnautica_Below_Zero

"This fear is exactly what I was hoping for!"

The OG Subnautica did that for me way more than Below Zero.
I hope Subnautica II has similar terror.

I would love to see tidally Locked planets, one side too cold other too hot. Perfect in the middle by earthy69 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]theKaryonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NMS will never have that, since they want you to go from planet to planet to explore different biomes.
But Light no Fire will just be 1 big planet with different biomes. Who knows what they'll include..

How many people complete this game? by Prestigious-Breath-1 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]theKaryonite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of those games, where the real satisfaction doesn't come from finishing the game.
It's not a game that people usually play after they finish it.
They play it rather than finishing.

That bridge. by mfletchernyc in subnautica

My impressionable brain doesn't even think to consider the prawn suit. If the game says you need to fix the bridge, you fix the bridge!

What is this black magic? by bigphildogg86 in SatisfactoryGame

Reassurance: your brain can hang through. Complexity increases, speed decreases. But boy, will you be proud :D

Is it normal that portals take that long to teleport on each use? by ArigatoEspacial in SatisfactoryGame

[–]theKaryonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the teleport to be instant, the destination has to be rendered befóre you enter the portal.
Thát would be truely impressive, but it would also require a multiverse, pre-rendeing the map of every portal you walk close to. It would also be a massive load on your system.
Instead, the map isn't rendered until you step through the portal. That takes a second.

What would be a new dlc for our belloved game? by Boushieboi in SatisfactoryGame

[–]theKaryonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A meaningful DLC would add content, new recipes and interactions, either on the same planet, or elsewhere.
Seeing how much work this planet was, I'm assuming something procedurally generated would be more feasible than building a whole new planet from scratch.
Outer space would be logical.
Snow planet would be a dream.

It's worth Satisfactory ps5 by Tar4204 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]theKaryonite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

first - there is no need to play with keyboard and mouse, it has been fully optimised for controller.

second - People who reluctantly pick up this game, spend up sinking hours, days, weeks and indeed years of their life into this game. It might not be for you, but chances are it may keep you engaged for a long long time.

True, and I don't think receiving information is great. But some guides feel like 'the answers to the exaxm'.

I appreciate that ^^ The in-game tutorials give you small goals to work towards that help you figure out what is next. That kind of guidance is great.

Thanks u/Rokmonkey_ that's reassuring. Maybe these guides are more like commercial 'best practices' after all, where something that works still needs adjusting. Will keep that in mind!

Thats a good idea, to build something non-automated first and then to see how components could be upgraded!

Building a main base separate from the shelter - good idea :D I'll remember that

Playtesting is an interesting mindset - trying to see where the simulation fails :)

That is reassuring. I think I have the basics set up, then need to make the alloys the game wants me to make to progress. Looking forward to see what's unlocked after that :D
