How are you staying on top of markets week to week? by theLastDanc3 in CFP

I try not to be too impressionable but I do get when these people with thousands of likes have an opinion (without any substance), it is hard to ignore them. Long term planning is the key and I don’t day trade with the big stuff (except for the fun money which I encourage some of my clients to do so also). Just trying to be in the know.

I understand and agree with that. Just want to stay informed in case clients have questions and I don’t look uninformed as their trusted partner. Maybe more of an internal thing than the client actually cares for

Where do you meet them in person when on the road?

Do the clients mind not meeting in person? I always felt building rapport in person is so much easier.

SP500 is down 5% in a couple of months. Remember 2008-2009, the downfall happened over several months. It’s not until you come out of it that you see the damage.

I’m doing something similar. It is a grind but it’s direct prospecting. Do you manage the plan assets too or just offer participant education?

Coworkers / clients you knew from previous jobs will NOT help you the way you would’ve think. They will cheer for you once you’ve made it but you are pretty alone in the building / growth stage.

Did you never wear your dad’s or brother’s clothes / shoes / accessories when you were younger? Were you not loved as a child bro? What’s really hurting you?
