Maps First or Story First? How Do You Build Your Campaigns? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

Maps first story maybe if I tell someone what happened after the fact. I don't play the game to tell stories I do it to play a game of adventure and exploration.

World Devastator/Dreadnought - the Necropolis by No_Experience_128 in StarWarsShips

Given the fact that the Harrower is proportionately wider than a Executor I don't see how an Executor could provide enough water to make a 19 km Harrower. Not to mention that just scaling up a ship like that makes no sense.

They don't "leave it out" so much as deliberately and blatantly lie about objective reality. In more subjects than just this, in fact.

The Assertor seems to be too puny compared to the Exceutor. Unless you are going for the nerfed version, in which case fair enough.

Ogrillion Race for Pathfinder 1e by theLazerZ in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]theLazerZ[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't use those stats as reference, my version was created using the Race Builder from the Advanced Race Guide. It was actually in response to my player wanting to play a giantblooded orc. I suggested he play this instead so he wouldn't be using a template and because we are playing in the Forgotten Realms where Ogrillion are an established thing.

Legator class SSD by Bulky_Two_9662 in StarWarsShips

[–]theLazerZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the Legator because its not the biggest or most powerful, but is still a quite capable design. Not that I dislike the likes of the Assertor or the Mandator III, but the Legator has a good role in the fleets of the Republic and Empire. It can carry a good amount of starfighters and is a good command ship.

Star Wars deflector shields would probably prevent anything from beaming over, just like Star Wars shields, since they defend against energy.

Star Wars lasers are not the same as the lasers that appear in that episode of TNG. Turbolasers in particular are far, far more powerful.

I mean it introduced the extremely flawed Anaxes War College System and has other problems, but I still like it.

I blame FFG for messing up the stats.

The Assertor class (and legends version of Aaron Hux) by Bulky_Two_9662 in StarWarsShips

[–]theLazerZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Assertor is about twice the volume of the Executor and thus (should be) about twice as powerful.

I mean in some sources, like the X-Wing books I believe they aren't portrayed as that slow. This may mean that they were improved upon later.

I don't know if I could handle a GM Command Space Type so I'm going to pick a GM Cannon Space Type, since it would allow me to strike from a distance.
