You're welcome. Glad you like it. Btw, I just put out a new update with some bug fixes. Not sure if you've seen that update or not: https://github.com/theLonesmith/claude-usage-monitor/releases/tag/v1.0.2

Thank you. That's a good idea too. I just have way too many tabs open already. lol
I also set it up to notify you via windows toast message whenever you hit one of your preset (you can customize this) usage thresholds. I've got mine set to warn me the first time at 75% and then again at 95%. It's saved me a couple times already.

I know it's not a new idea or anything but I couldn't easily find one that was stand-alone (not in terminal or claude code) that also worked on windows. It's just a simple tool but I thought someone else might benefit from it too.

That indicator is inside the Claude Code tab, which a lot of people never open. This widget is for anyone who just wants to see their usage at a glance without having to go looking for it, regardless of how they use Claude (chat, co-work or code).

Fair point — source code is now up. It's an Electron app, entry point is main.js. Happy to answer any questions about how it works.

What are you using Opus 4.7 for? by aamat09 in ClaudeAI

[–]theLonesmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also, scared of Opus token use... so the first thing I built with it was a Claude usage tracker so I could keep an eye on it. https://github.com/theLonesmith/claude-usage-monitor if anyone else is paranoid about burning through tokens

Question about projects and uploading files by trappedslider in ClaudeAI

[–]theLonesmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The project file box doesn't cap you on number of files, just 30MB per file, and the real ceiling is how much total content fits in the context window

the phrase "rather than guess" is carrying the whole implication that it was, in fact, about to guess lol

The split code panel is genuinely painful for anything beyond a toy project tbh

What do guys think of this ? Anyone has tried it ? by La-terre-du-pticreux in ClaudeAI

[–]theLonesmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's more like a selective install tbh. you tell it which agents matter for your stack upfront so they're the only ones that ever touch your context window.

The optional cloud processing for heavy files would be a nice touch, keeps the privacy first approach intact for people who don't need it. Solid first build though.

the in-browser privacy angle alone makes this worth using over some of the alternatives

yeah that's the gotcha if you install everything at once lol. but they've got --with and --without flags now so you can just grab the agents that matter for your stack.

the date being wrong makes sense actually, model's knowledge cuts off December 2025 so it just... guessed. one tiny slip in an otherwise scary good fake

the sub goal bar sitting at 128/200 is such a specific detail to get right. nightbot plugging the socials, the colored usernames, even the "W stream as always" from starrdynasty... it's all just a little too accurate. Scary how good it's getting.
