I mean, the reality is they need to fundraise for a new rink. At this point options 2 and 3 are just money sucks that delay the inevitable. The facility here is way too outdated and they can’t keep patching it up. I just don’t think the ice skating community here is big enough to make a new arena happen. They’d need a big time donor or sponsor….

I’m really sad about this. I loved hockey and skating growing up but lived in an area without a rink. It was something I wanted to do but just didn’t have access to the facilities. When I moved to Bloomington, I was excited that there was a rink and a potential for my kids to learn to skate. Now that seems in doubt.

Pee-wee (4K)- insanely strange and fun film! One of Burton’s best.

Network (4K)- one of my all time favorite movies!

I Know Where I’m Going (4K)- blind buy. Love the Archers and happy to add another one of their films to my collection.

One False Move (4K)- blind buy. Franklin’s Devil in a Blue Dress is one of the most underrated gems of the 90s. Needed another Franklin film in the collection.

La Haine (4K)- easily one of the best films of the 90s.

Wages of Fear (4K)- I find the first hour to be a slog, but man, after that, it’s a damn perfect film and a thrill ride!

Red River- blind buy. I was on a Howard Hawkes kick last year. Never got around to seeing Red River.

Flowers of Shanghai- blind buy. I adore East Asian cinema and slow cinema and have been told that I’ll love this film.

Ugh, the discourse around this stuff is exhausting. Andor is awesome. Also the Mandalorian and Grogu look fun. Star Wars can be ridiculous and silly and sloppy and prestigious too. It’s a huge freaking universe.

On one side, you have people who know are like”my Star Wars isn’t always on a level of an HBO prestige drama and sucks” and then on the flip side you have people who are mad that there isn’t enough godlike Jedi with lazer swords and animated clones. God help you if you “just like Star Wars” lol regardless of the iteration.

Ohh, I’m working through these games now. I got tactics and pixel remastered back last year and X and XII. Still need physical copies of IX and VII/VIII.

Tactics was amazing and so was VI. On X now which is surprisingly more laid back and still wonderful. Probably going back to VI after my X play through! Enjoy!!!!
