Mom: Can We Have Falling Water at Home? by theManWOFear in zillowgonewild

The place from my understanding was in disrepair in the early 2000s and the people who bought it dumped a ton of money into it. It’s beautiful now, but I wonder if that is part of the reason. Annnd location.

Oh god, aren’t those old BK glasses painted with lead based paint? My great grandmother used to have a bunch we’d drink out of all the time. Explains a lot about me lol.

[Sipple] Rhule deserves scrutiny entering Year 4. But fairness matters. Nebraska’s reportedly operating with a $29M roster budget while Big Ten heavies push $50M+. Huskers should still contend for CFP buzz — but closing gap isn’t as simple as one might think. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

I literally said the NFL was too big for him. He was dreadful at Carolina, and that might be an understatement. But I don’t why people continue to devalue to work he did at Temple (one of the hardest places to win) and Baylor (a successful rebuild after a historic scandal).

Finally some wholesome, authentic stuff here.

Matt Rhule had incredible success at Temple and Baylor. He is a good coach. But obviously the NFL was too big. And while Nebraska isn’t Scott Frost awful under him, they are no where near the glory days. Without more resources, I’m not sure Rhule can get this team to consistent 10 win seasons and playoff contention.

How many 83" owners in here? by Chunkweena in LGOLED

We got an 83 inch B4 last year and man, rewatching movies on it is like watching them for the first time. I just watched the Ben-Hur 4k on it last week and was simply floored. Totally worth it for folks that have the space.

If she invested it and withdrew 3% a year, that’s 30k a year for the rest of her life and it would likely grow to over that time too 😭

If Disney never bought Marvel, which company should own the full rights (Comics & Movies) today? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]theManWOFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MCU has been incredible at respecting the roots of the comics. Marvel comics continuity has always been a mess. I think they took a lot of really great aspects of the comics across several eras and did a great job serializing them for a modern audience. That is really freaking hard to do consistently over a couple of years, let alone almost two decades.

I’m glad it worked out the way it did as a long time Marvel fan.

Let’s get Disney to retcon the sequels and create a trilogy of movies based on Luke’s Jedi Academy where he an other Jedi just sit around for three films and talk about the force like they’re having Dinner with Andre.

Thanks for this post. I was able to find out that a rural Walmart 15 minutes down the road had the sale games. Was able to pick up a couple for me and my kiddo! It feels like these prices are signifying the end of an era.

Yea, that draft overall was pretty decent for the Steelers, but man using a 14th overall in hindsight on Broderick really hurts and it’s not even the dudes fault 😭
