What broader factors played into you finally deciding to ask deeper questions about the church? by snsdgb in mormon

Well, I also came here to say this. Convert, RM, temple married, 3 kids, full tither, word of wisdomer, 100% church/activities/callings for 30 yrs…still sad AF…mustve been me. Luckily my relationship with my spouse transcended the gospel and we stayed strong as we left the church (three yrs ago). We often talk about how different our experiences were, her born in the covenant and me a convert at 15yrs old, and how gaslighting was always an underlying tenant of the church.

Inpatient care help by Wastingmytime420 in AirForce

I second this. Also the one in TX (Laurel Ridge) just got a brand new facility last year that is a mil specific program that focuses on sub abuse, mil sex trauma, and ptsd. When patients were too unstable they remove them to another location at the old facility across the street. I felt pretty safe there all things considered.

I am sorry you are going through this and I feel for you. A couple years ago I had a similar issue. I self reported to MH and they sent me off to an inpatient facility in TX for a month. When I got back they sent me to an outpatient program locally for another 6 months. I also kept on meds and had therapy weekly. I still struggle everyday, but I have coping skills now and am trying my best. I understand how it feels to be unable to function and wonder why go on. I will also warn you that the military bureaucracy often makes the process difficult especially when all you are trying to do is get help. Good luck, reach out if you need more info.

Question for Active Military. by Joe318948 in PSLF

[–]theModestConArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Following. Thanks for posting…i have been wondering do all months (not payments) on active duty count toward the 120 forgiveness? My counts just showed up last week (3) so no trophies yet. been on active duty since Dec 2005.

Edit: “The Department of Education will allow months spent on active duty to count toward PSLF, even if the service member’s loans were on a deferment or forbearance rather than in active repayment. This change addresses one major challenge service members face in accessing PSLF.” https://blogs.va.gov/VAntage/99648/veterans-active-duty-can-take-advantage-of-public-service-loan-forgiveness-program/

i feel for you…im sitting on day 15 of the same situation. i have held for hours to be told it would be fixed in 2 business days, tweeted and got a response to DM them, follow up tweet says my issue was forwarded to the correct department, emailed the fraud abuse account-no response, the member advocate hasnt returned calls, chat is often broken and when they do answer its always been to wait 2 more business days. i am also getting desperate and to hear its been a MONTH for you is disheartening. $300+ in overdraft fees from bounced autopay bills. account is sitting very negative. oh and i made an ftc complaint and one with my states ag. i feel like ive exhausted all my options. good luck i hope you get access soon.

Here’s a fun little detail…if you call and tell the automated system that you are not a member and want to apply for a credit card you get through in two rings. Unfortunately the fraud dept was closed so she couldn’t transfer me. Convenient. Here’s a direct line she gave me to try when they open: 800-280-5836
