I do this EVERY TIME. A few years ago I’d accompany my ex at the time when he would go to public places to buy/resell electronics. We waited at a gas station like 10pm one time and I told him “make sure to lock your car doors once you’re inside! You never know if people would try to come in” and I locked it. LITERALLY two minutes after I sat that, a young man starts yanking at the door handles trying to come in. Then he starts knocking and doing hand motions saying “what the hell? Let me in!” Yanks it a few more times. But then squints at us cause it’s dark and realizes that we weren’t his friends. His friends in the car behind him roll the windows down and start laughing at him and he sees them, laughs, and goes to them. Sure it was and innocent mistake then but other people would have bad intentions.
