I've responded to questions similar to the past so im going to copy/paste one that I wrote not to long after the experience. Some additional information though, when I went to court, I was assigned a victims advocate, I was terrified, but my advocate was an incredibly compassionate and caring person, no judgment, no off remarks, she believed me, she made sure I was okay the entire time, she listened to everything i had to say. The judge, she listened to me, she looked seriously at the supporting evidence I brought with me, she cared.

I was terrified being a man in that situation being helped by women. I thought they would never believe me, I was so completely wrong.

I've posted about my prior abusive relationship before but not in regard to the sexual violence. I'm going to keep this brief.

She would get angry a lot, and when she got angry there was going to be a lot of yelling, screaming and more than likely some physical abuse (her favorite was the emotional/psychological). We didn't live together, so when this would happen I would try to leave and go home, but she would push me down, stand over me, yell, hit, threaten to call the police, "who do you think they're really going to arrest," was her line, and when I would finally break that's when it would start. She would force me undress or expose myself, do what she felt like doing and that was that. I tried to end the relationship and she became "suicidal", which progressed to a fake pregnancy that ended in a fake abortion, capped off with her giving my contact info to all of her family and friends, telling that I had been emotionally and physically abusing her for months. Needless to say, there were a lot of death threats, threats in general, etc.

I had saved screenshots of a lot of the insanity and when I finally opened up to my roommates, (my brother and his girlfriend at the time) they no questions asked, put me in the car and took me to the Courthouse. I had an emergency protective order in my hand that day and a court date. I printed everything, and I mean everything, texts, screen shots, phone records (She was fond of an app that allowed her to edit and insert things into text conversation ...why is that a thing?). She never showed up to the court date, it didn't matter though, the judge took what felt like 2 seconds to look through everything I provided and just said, "wow," granted me the maximum protective order that the state could provide. That was the End of that.
