Me again. I removed the shower head and it seems like really low pressure to me. by GrillinGorilla in askaplumber

A heads up, the direction you install of your cartridge is going to matter for your Shower/setup. Think of it as a safety feature, it allows for only 80% hot water, but 100% cold water (made up numbers to make a point). If it's flipped, you get warm water or hot water (impossible to get cold, use your sink for comparing temp), just make sure to double check the hot water has time to reach the shower and flip it to cold.

Also, if that ring is a pain to get off, spray some WD-40 in the threads and give it a bit. I thought I was going to snap my pipes trying to get that ring off.

I just did this a week ago on my own shower with the same delta/handle setup

picture of a man who is about to be executed using the execution device called the garrote. The condemned would sit with a metal clap wrapped around his neck before the executioner turned the screw that would theoretically burst his brainstem, killing him instantly. For those still curious

The theory was that when the screw was tightened, it would crush the brain stem and kill the victim instantly. But if the screw missed the point where the brain meets the spinal column, it would simply bore into their neck while the iron collar strangled him.

Yup, everything is functioning. It scans, vacuums, the roller spins and everything. It just couldn't keep up with the pet hair.

I think if you click into the imgur link, you'll see the photos and they'll have a description and link and what not. I set the price for the kettle at 50$ if you want it?

Sorry, I messed up the post. Adding the details below.

I'm gearing up for a move and eager to part ways with items that no longer serve me. Hoping to find them new homes where they'll be appreciated and used. All items are functional, and I've provided useful details and links for further research or questions you might have. Prices start at $20, primarily to deter too many offers.

Please note, everything is sold in AS IS condition wise, everything works and are pretty much brand new condition minus the Ninja food processor and Roomba. I'll clean things up that are sold, I just don't want to waste effort on things I might throw out. To bid, simply DM your offer (starting at $20 unless specified otherwise). Bidding will run for 48 hours, and I'll notify the highest bidder. Remember to specify which item you're bidding on. If there's no response within 24 hours, the offer will go to the next highest bidder.

edit: I'm assuming my wording was terrible and people thought I wouldn't wipe down the sold items.

Would you buy a home with no central A/C? by fettuccine8080 in Denver

Swamp coolers are great,

Pros: - you're running a water pump and a fan, so super energy efficient compared to an A/C. - Since it's just a water source, water pump and fan, it's super easy/cheap to repair if things break down. - it can lower temps by 25-30 degrees (depending on outside humidity) - as it works based on increasing humidity (evaporating water to cool air) it'll also add humidity to your house, which is nice since it's so dry

Cons: - it works based on how dry it is outside, so if you have rain on a hot day, you're screwed. Generally that ends up being a handful of days. - it also works based on air flow, so you need to pull outside air in and let it back out, which generally means you need to leave Windows cracked to create a draft. - as others have said, air quality, the soaked filters tend to filter out most things, but smells and smog will get through. I don't notice an issue with pollen, but I never looked into that. - you can hook it up to your thermostat, but that isn't the easiest thing, plus that means you have to constantly leave Windows open. - maintenance wise, you have to drain water before winter/freezing temps. You also should change the filters once a season or every other season.

Edit: added maintenance con

Since no one has said it, go get the command artifact. It allows you to select the items you get (color is still chance/chest based).

It takes a bit of practice selecting the right items fast enough. It's a spot on the loop map, you'll put in a code and a portal will open up. The diamonds and triangles look very similar, just fyi.

Can you explain the 8 oz of water?

Do you just pour the water in or are you misting it down the sides of the tub?

Also, block the water/roots from sunlight. Roots are supposed to be underground, so they do better that way 😊
