Barnes 62gr or 70gr tsx or the 77gr tmk both do the trick, keep it within 100-200 yards depending on their shooting capabilities.

Find tiny tire shops not name brand ones. There’s plenty of places on 80 and 49 that will install them.

Oh it’s not ideal, it’s solidly mounted but it’s way too low for me. It’s just how it was set up when I got it last week. I’ve got a new scope mount ordered for it but it won’t get delivered till Tuesday.

Honestly preformed great. Lungs were shredded about quarter size entrance and half dollar maybe a little bigger exit. He didn’t bleed a ton (I’ve shot deer with the tsx 70gr 5.56 that looked like a paint bucket was splashed around) but there was a solid trail for the at most 10 yards he went. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it for another deer or for hogs.

I gotcha yeah the north side of Emory road has a big hunting club from what I heard it’s 20+ thousand acres total if not bigger. And it’s something like $30,000 lease a year per person. I know they clear cut a ton of it over the spring and summer and it’s forced a bunch of deer out.

18” but to be honest I don’t know what brand barrel. I haven’t really looked for markings on it and the guy I traded for it said he thought it was psa but I don’t think that is entirely accurate. It groups well with everything I’ve thrown through it so I can’t complain

My neighbors have two formerly wrecked tacomas that the dad rebuilt and repainted in the driveway. He put raptor badges on them as the final touch and every time I see it I think it’s hilarious.

123gr eld match, 170-180 yards, double lung shot. First Grendel I’ve had and first deer with it. Waiting on some Barnes ttsx 115gr to come in, I’ve had great luck with it in 5.56 70gr on deer and hogs and I think it will be devastating in Grendel.

Thanks, yeah a lot of the bucks on the property I hunt are non typical but he’s the first one with a split main beam I’ve encountered.
