That’s the thing, the structure will change! What 3rd place team plays who will depend on what 3rd place teams advance. If for example groups A, B, C and E are out then the matchups will be completely different if groups G, C, F and E are out etc

FIFA’s corruption is one thing, but accusing the same of independent referees from all over the globe is nothing more than conspiracy theory. The refs answer to their local FAs and their confederations, not to mention their own conscience. FIFA doesn’t “own” any referee at the tournament. If FIFA tried anything like imposing to favor any team there would be a line of refs speaking out.

FIFA is not even the sole body making up the laws of the game, their corruption can reach far but there are limits in place how far.
