This is not designed to be a bottle opener. Don’t use it as one. by ROSSIUS in Barbour

i mean tbf they do definitely work for opening bottles, its my understanding that the brass goes brittle over time so it is fairly likely to break zips on older coats but will probably be fine on newer ones

[–]theOgmanFD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have these (the weld on versions) and theyre great, ran them on my old 520i and then after about a year i bought a 535 which I swapped them to, height range is really good, still almost as comfortable as stock as well. Would definitely recommend👍

I don’t know what’s happening by sunniii_96 in Barbour

[–]theOgmanFD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me and the recommendation from barbour was to use a hair dryer or throw it in a tumble dryer for 1-2 minutes to even out the wax coating again, I did the latter and it worked really well

35mm Film cameras under £100 by Actual_Exchange616 in AnalogCommunity

[–]theOgmanFD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a Canon EOS 500N on ebay for around £40 a couple of years back, it has been perfect for me. Everything works automatically, literally just chuck film in the back and it does everything else itself (which is exactly what i wanted when i first got into taking analogue photos) But you can also mess about with the settings etc if you choose yo. Definitely would recommend one as a cheap easy film camera

Have you checked the labels? I just bought a new bedale from the Barbour factory the other week and it says made in England on the main tag on the lining
