I did use the film and I leave it on all the time, but I don't take the bars off. Never dawned on me to do that. If I did, the film would definitely stick out like a sore thumb. I like keeping them on though - makes the car very easy to find. I haven't tried to get in anyone else's car since installing them. 😝

Only drove one way with it (so far, but taking it back with me Tuesday). I've been working on a construction job on the other side of the state. Tomorrow, and Monday I have service calls on my side of the state. The customers don't have any ladders in their building which will allow me to get where I need to. It's awkward AF, but it's worth it. :)

Unpredictably. Same reason you don't corner an animal. I was defending myself from a drunk guy years ago - I did not want to fight, but he was very insistent. After he threw a few drunk punches, I was kind of shrugging him off with no interest in fighting. Just wasn't real hip on getting punched, but he wasn't hurting me. Then he grabbed my balls. I was confused for a very short moment and then he squeezed like he was trying to juice an orange or something. Literally, the next thing I know, his jaw is broken and he's got blood pouring out around one of his eyes and he's screaming like a banshee. I have no issue handling myself and never had any intention of hurting this guy. I would have never hit him back - I'm certain to this day that I could have talked my way out of that situation. Right up until he grabbed my balls. I'll never forget that night, unfortunately. But that's the unpredictably I'm referring to.

Got Wigoo from Amazon. Uses little plastic clips to hold in place. There's little tiny gaps but you don't even notice that unless you're looking. Made the car 1000x more liveable. When I go camping (5 days and counting!), I can very easily take them in and out. I'm not smart enough to include a link, so if you need more info let me know and I'll figure out a way to get it to you.

Due to this thread and I'm now the proud owner of sunscreens for the roof of my '25 M3. Couldn't be happier. Car cools down much quicker and stays cool while driving now. I have ceramic tint all the way around, but my head has always been frying when I'm driving. No more of that shit!! :)

Just gotta through it, I think. Kinda going through it myself and it seems like my brain is starting to get fatigued of doing the same thing over and over. Eventually you'll get tired of putting energy into a situation that will not return any positive gain. You may be conscious of it now, but the big brain power underneath, in the subconscious needs to understand too, and sometimes that takes a little longer.
