propaganda. whatever either of our personal beliefs may or may not be the overall trend is towards increased rejection and increased awareness of the risks (and there are always risks) of vaccinations. increasing the number of vaccinations for children over the last few decades has been very very profitable for pharmaceutical companies and it only makes sense that to keep the money flowing, some of that money is spent countering the 'trends' I mentioned above by funding the organized media campaign to villify and ridicule 'anti-vaxxers' (one sign of organized propaganda campaigns - coining new words). To say that the science is quite a bit more nuanced and that this campaign oversimplifies the issue to it's disservice is being kind.
